Hi everyone! New here. I've been trying to grow in my gift of prophetic dreams & interpretation (currently reading The Divinity Code") and better understand symbolism in dreams. I was hoping someone could help with the interpretation of a recent dream?

In the dream, I was at a restaurant with a group of people. I knew that we had come as one group but were supposed to be splitting into 2 groups, which made me a bit concerned almost sad. However after we were supposedly split, I looked around and all of the same people were there, which brought some relief. Towards the end of the dream I remembered wanting to get some soft serve watermelon ice cream.

Hi @briea10993. Before I share my thoughts on this dream, I would remind you that not every dream is necessarily from God. Some dreams can come from our own thoughts, emotions, experiences, or circumstances. So please weigh this interpretation prayerfully against Scripture and the Holy Spirit. If it does not resonate with you or bear witness in your spirit, simply let it fall and keep what does. 1 Thess 5:20.

You may be entering, or already thinking/concerned about, a season where people are being divided into different groups, roles, or directions. Your first response in the dream was concern and sadness because you seemed to associate that separation with losing something or someone important.

However, the significant part of the dream is what happened after the groups supposedly separated: when you looked around, everyone was still there. This suggests that a change in grouping, role, or season does not necessarily mean the loss of the people or relationships themselves. What may look like separation could just be a rearrangement.

The dream seems to bring reassurance. (Do not assume that a change in circumstances means something has been lost). There may be a different arrangement, while the people and relationships that matter remain present.

The ending of the dream, where you wanted watermelon soft serve, I would see as an encouragement not to remain focused on the sadness of what may be changing but to allow yourself to receive the refreshment and enjoyment that can come with a new season.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” Sometimes a season changes without everything connected to that season being taken away.

This definitely resonates with me. Thank you!

As Christians, we are supposed to be hot or cold - yet we remain one body: is your dream about that? Maybe your thought about ice-cream reflects that every Christian has a favourite scripture (food)?

The group definitely could have been representative of the body as I sensed we were co-workers of some sort.

Welcome Briea!

The meaning of the dream is this: "Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left" (Matthew 24:40-41).

Your dream itself is an interpretation from God. Meaning that those who attend the Marriage Supper of the Lamb are divided, each one divided--in two. As it is written: "Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, And the spirit will return to God who gave it" (Ecclesiastes 12:7).

As for the "soft serve"--this is grace. The end is good!

Thank you so much!! This actually reminded me of another dream I had back on 8/18/26. It's as follows:

I was at a table eating dinner with a young woman. We were tasting the food at this banquet. I remembered getting a piece of bread and I was trying to get a small piece of meat to put on top of the bread, but the piece that stuck to my fork was huge. While eating, she was talking to me about how she was homeless and had now gotten a home. She said people didn't really ever stop to think about how hard it was for her to stay in the home once she got it. She was also telling me about her aunt and I asked how the lady was her aunt. I asked was it her mom's aunt or her mom's sister.

Shall I go on?

The meat was the meat I gave you. The young woman is the church, most of whom are gentiles and were without God, and now having a home prepared for them, many prefer to wander.
