We are the "branches" and branches can do nothing of themselves.
Its the ROOT that produces both the branches and the fruit.

Did you ever see a Rose Bud producing the Flower?
Did you ever see a tree branch producing the Tree?
Did you ever seen a confused Christian trying to produce their own works (fruit) and confess sin trying to stay saved?.......= Yes you did.

So, when we hear someone saying........"well, as long as the branches are doing their job".... "as long as they are abiding by self effort"..

= But what they dont understand, is that its the Root that produces the fruit through the branches......its not the branches trying to endure to the end and keep commandments that bears the fruit.

The Branch is nothing more then the vessel that is used by the Root to produce fruit through it.

The False teaching is that the Branch is responsible, and in fact its the Root that is responsible for the fruit, and not the branch.

Jesus said........"apart from me you can do nothing".........and Jesus is The ROOT who is explaining to you that when you the branch tries to do for yourself what only God's Spirit can do through you, then you are cutting yourself off from the ROOT and you'll produce nothing but self righteousness.

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

anything and anyone not connected to CHRIST JESUS BY FAITH IN HIM
produces only wicked fruit .
Oh they might cliam good works and be feeding the poor , but their works are in vain and they cling to SIN and UNBELIEF .
IT shall not profit them at all On the great and MIGHTY day OF THE LORD .
SO allow me a reminder to prove who is of GOD and who Rejects GOD .
JESUS said , HE who recieves His testimony has set to His seal that GOD IS TRUE
John would also write HE who recieves NOT the testimony of GOD that HE gave of the SON , calls GOD A LIAR .
WHO is a liar , but he who d enies JESUS is the CHRIST , he is anti christ .
Now get them out of ecumeincal intefaith , it leads them all to a lie and to their own damanation
It will not be PEACE N SAFETY rained upon them on THE DAY of THE LORD but rather SUDDEN and SWIFT destruction .
Procliam JESUS . Proclaim the dire need to REPENT and BELEIVE ON HIM .
And do not be a supporter of and co helper to a LIE . Expose the harlot and preach ONLY JESUS and biblical sound doctrine
