What question is that then?I’d like to hear your answer to my above question?
God wouldn't ask us to anything dangerous, but if he requires us to fast he will take care of us.Yes, God's Word mentions the idea of prayer and fasting together often, but there also are health benefits of doing it.
As for putting our trust in God regarding our medical condition, fasting could be dangerous for someone with health problems. Apostle Luke was a doctor, so God didn't tell us to shun medical doctors.
The worldly reasons for fasting may be many and varied, for example for losing weight and for health benefits.fasting helps cure cancer uno! people use it along with Chemotherapy.
If I understand correctly, this is the sign of the cross that is put on ones forehead on Ash Wednesday. The ash used is from the burning of the previous year's Palm Sunday crosses.
Is the bridegroom with us?
Is the bridegroom with us?
I’m not affiliated with any denomination, just a discipleAnd to answer your question I think that verse about the bridegroom has been used by certain church groups to deny that fasting is something which is still relevant to the church today but then Jesus ends up by saying 'they will fast'.
We are waiting for his return. So what does that tell us?So , is that a yes or a no?
that sign is blasphemy 2 christ

For me He’s already returned. Psalm19We are waiting for his return. So what does that tell us?
That sort of attitude puts limitations on what God can do. We are supposed to trust him with our lives. He has taken care of us by giving us a brain to know when something is an unadvisable practice.
It doesn't say that to me. But the rest of us are still waiting. For me He’s already returned. Psalm19
In my fathers house there are many mansions. Has he placed a tabernacle within you?It doesn't say that to me. But the rest of us are still waiting.

I have learned that the religious observance of Lent is not what God requires of us. Lent is a religious thing. It is only my relationship with Jesus that is important, not that I half-heartedly fast from treats or TV.
Giving up sweets, chocolates or biscuits for Lent isn’t important. What really matters is that I am in Christ. What we do need to give up is stuff like pride, unforgiveness, and wrong passions; giving up or putting off what is not Christ-like. And not just for Lent but for always.
Jesus is the only thing that matters – anything else is religion.
