If the moon were circling over a flat earth, it would be exactly like that, but it's not.
No one claims to know exactly what the moon is. According to Genesis, it's a light in the sky. All the physics you apply to it are rooted in the secular science that teaches about the very system we are debating. You can't presuppose that system. That's a fallacy: circular reasoning.

You can too. Just look up at the night sky. You'll see it.

Have you ever stood by a train track, and watched a train coming from a distance? When it's far away, it appears very small. As it comes closer, it appears larger. As it passes by you, you see the full size of the train. Then as it continues on away from you, it appears smaller the further away it is from you.

If the moon were circling over a flat earth, it would be exactly like that, but it's not. I suggest you stew on that fact for a while until you understand it's significance. Because it's clear you do not.
The train is on the surface of the earth traveling horizontally.

The moon is miles above the earth (not hundreds of thousands) and it does not travel in like manner as the train.

Man is in control of the train = on earth

God is in control of the moon = above the earth

marks, be like the OT prophet Daniel and if you do, God will grant you the Truth.

Even you should see the emptiness of that answer.

Doesn't travel in like manner as the train? It's not far, coming close, then going far again?

Ok then.

Does God know the difference between a circle and a sphere/ball???

You and i would say , "Yes of course!"

Yet God never said in His word that the earth is a ball/sphere.
But He did say that He Sits over the circle of the earth - Isaiah 40:22

Berean Standard Bible
He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth; its dwellers are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.

Berean Literal Bible
He is sitting above the circle of the earth, and its dwellers are like grasshoppers; He stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and He spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.

King James Bible
It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

New King James Version
It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.

New American Standard Bible
It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain And spreads them out like a tent to live in.

NASB 1995
It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.

I wouldn't say no one claims to know what the moon is. Having debated this for quite a long time with people, I've heard numerous claims.

Notwithstanding, the Bible doesn't say what the moon "is", nor does it say what ice cream "is". But we can learn from observation.

Obviously, yet again you've avoided my comments. Like usual.

If you are standing in space looking at the earth, you will see a circle. The earth is not a circle. A circle is a 2D shape, and the earth is not. So we are talking about phenomenal language, what it looks like. And no matter what direction you were to look at the earth from, it will appear to be a circle, since in fact it's a sphere.

This is not a verse defining the shape of the earth.

If you ever want me to take your posts seriously you'll have to deal with my objections to your view, other than just ignoring them.

Well if you stay on biblical realm (as I try to do) all we can say is that the moon is a light in the sky, like the sun and the stars. Genesis 1 gives us no reason to apply metaphorical descriptions.

You must forget all the secular physics, since this is the very thing under dispute. This is what I mean by circular reasoning.

You can observe the moon, sure. But you don't observe it's mechanics as you do the train. That's all secular science telling you what the moon is, how far away it is, how fast it moves etc. Sure you can just go on and believe it, but this right here is about debating.

The head of the Haydin planetarium described the earth as...
Four women described "the head of the Haydin planetarium" (Neil DeGrasse Tyson) as "a rapist who drugged one of his victims and also engaged in unwanted physical touching and inappropriate sexual advances." - source

Explain the coriolis effect on a flat earth. You cannot.
Explain the Coriolis effect on a ball earth. You cannot.

"In physics, the Coriolis force is a pseudo-force* aka fictitious force that acts on objects in motion within a frame of reference that rotates with respect to an inertial frame." - wikipedia

* "...a force that appears to act on an object when its motion is described or experienced from a non-inertial frame of reference. Unlike real forces, which result from physical interactions between objects, fictitious forces occur due to the acceleration of the observer's frame of reference rather than any actual force acting on a body. These forces are necessary for describing motion correctly within an accelerating frame, ensuring that Newton's [a Freemason] second law of motion remains applicable." - wikipedia

Ball earthers gotta protect their "frame-of-reference" Sir Newton...

That's hypocritical. You got caught out and haven't posted anything but the usual programmed objections. How about a truth-full reply?

Precisely.

If you fire a long range artillary shell, you must, in your targeting, accommodate the fact that the globe earth is still spinning underneath that projectile as it flies. Depending on how far your are shooting, you may end up quite a ways from your target if you do not.

Large storms spin clockwise in the northern hemisphere and counterclockwise in the southern hemisphere because the surface of the earth is traveling faster the closer you get to the equator, due to the globular shape of the planet, and it's rotation.

These are both examples of the coriolis effect, which simply describes the relation of the movement of various objects to the spinning globe, the earth. The fact that objects do in fact behave accordingly is evidence that the earth is in fact a spinning globe.

Wikipedia has an article that includes a graphic to help you to visualize this.

That's a quaint opinion, but again, it's void of documentation.

Coriolis is an imaginary force. It’s science for sure, but just pseudoscience! Ballistics path is all based on the “spin rate” of barrel, as well as grain of projectile and the speed at which it is moving. Ballistics do not take into account, curvature or rotation. The constant right turn of the bullet is due to the direction of the twist inside barrel, not Coriolis. The drop of the projectile is due to the friction created by air drag, which slows the bullet. Depending on its weight and speed, will depend on how fast it drops.

It's all ballistics.

You should independantly research this.
I have. But you made the claim so the onus is on you. The fact is, you won't do the work.

BTW, being former military, I have some familiarity with "ballistics." While there are field manuals that obligatorily mention the "spinning ball," the theory of gravity and the Coriolis effect, in practice, the troops do not account for any "curvature."
