No, gravity is the result of centrifugal force (meaning fleeing from center)...as when a ball spins and revolves at the same time.I have wondered why when someone jumps off of a cliff, they don't get pulled into the cliff, but rather get pulled downward. There should be some observable force present.
If mass pulls us in, then why do we only seem to experience objects getting pulled down? Maybe it's just me. Maybe @rvmb , @ScottA , @marks , or even @HealthyShape with his earth-shadow moon-crescent theory have experienced being pulled sideways into cliffs before.![]()
But think about it (I can't believe we're having to have this elementary discussion), if a flat earth spun--yes--one would jump off a cliff and go sideways, or open your door on one side of your house and it would stay open, but on the other side it would slam shut.
This flat earth stuff is just brilliant. Brilliantly messed up that is.
