Hi Richard!

I'm glad your back...

Your quote
Personally I believe Jesus' shed blood pays for ALL my sins of the flesh

I agree with that statement and also include my soul and spirit...

and I am ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED. --- If a person DOES NOT believe in OSAS then their sins are not covered by Jesus' shed blood. It is that simple.

I do not agree with this statement as this doctrine, is suggesting that once a person is saved they are exempt from any possibility of falling away and scripture clearly states the opposite...

I CORINTHIANS 9:27
24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. 25 And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. 26 Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. 27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.

HEBREWS 10:26
26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,”says the Lord. And again, “The LORD will judge His people.” 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

HEBREWS 3:12

Be Faithful

7 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says:

“ Today, if you will hear His voice,
8 Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion,
In the day of trial in the wilderness,
9 Where your fathers tested Me, tried Me,
And saw My works forty years.
10 Therefore I was angry with that generation,
And said, ‘They always go astray in their heart,
And they have not known My ways.’
11 So I swore in My wrath,

‘ They shall not enter My rest.’”

12 Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; 13 but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, 15 while it is said:

“ Today, if you will hear His voice,
Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”

Failure of the Wilderness Wanderers
16 For who, having heard, rebelled? Indeed, was it not all who came out of Egypt, led by Moses? 17 Now with whom was He angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness? 18 And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey? 19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

2 PETER 2:20-22
20 For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. 21 For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. 22 But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: “A dog returns to his own vomit,” and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.”

Blessings!!!

Read my post #16. I see no reson to write it again.

By the way, in HEBREWS 10:26 you should read a few verses ahead of verse 26. If you did you would understand that the sin that is under discussion is the sin of "UNBELIEF".

Our sins we commit after having come to Christ Jesus CAN be covered by His Blood. Our Lord's condition He set for that is that we MUST repent and ask Him forgiveness.

It is an on-going WALK with Christ Jesus, not a separate walk alone by ourselves. This is why we see our Lord Jesus commanding believers within five Churches in Asia to repent, or else...

Rev 2:5
5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
(KJV)

Obviously you did not understand what I wrote and you show it in your reply. You have to have faith, trust, belief and confidence in Jesus shed blood to pay for your sins.

But you seem to want to place your faith, trust, belief and confidence in your attempts to not sin.

You also seem to think that repentance is something you do. I don't believe that at all. Repentance before God is a continuous attitude of the heart of being honest with God about yourself. The thought that you repent of sins when you think you have sinned is foolishness. Mankind sins everyday and most don't even want to admit they still sin and therefore lie to God.

What the church is supposed to repent of is their belief in themselves. that they can control their salvation by their works and I certainly don't see them doing it.

You believe you control your salvaton by what you do and I don't. Salvation is the work of God, not man, and it is a gift. You don't seem to understand what a gift is. To you it is something you pay for.

You and I will never agree since you place your salvation in your own hands and I place mine in God's hands.

Where do you come up with this stuff....

Salvation is a free gift....sanctification is a process....salvation is the beginning of our journey in service to God.

Titus 2
[sup]11[/sup] For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, [sup]12[/sup] teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, [sup]13[/sup] looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, [sup]14[/sup] who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
[sup]15[/sup] Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.

Be Blessed!!!

You have turned to babbling falseness. Our Lord Jesus showed that repentance of sins is still necessary to stay in the walk with Him. That subject has nothing to do with your babbling of whether Christ's shed blood can forgive sins or not. No one here has said Christ's shed Blood on the cross cannot forgive our sins, but you just keep babbling that point on like it's gonna destroy that Scripture I just posted above. It just ain't gonna' go away; look in your Bible and you'll notice it's still there.

Silly ideas like putting trust in the attempt to not sin, that repentance is NOT something we do, that repenting of our sins is foolishness, is nothing more than... silly babbling of another spirit.

Staying in Christ Jesus is like staying in a Family. The Family has rules. If we get outside them we are going to WANT to repent and ask forgiveness if we truly love Him. I feel sorry for someone who thinks they don't need to repent nor ask forgiveness of other people that we may wrong. How much more with The LORD in Heaven Who is The Father of our souls?

OSAS is the devil's doctrine. It wrongly teaches the Christian believer they CAN NEVER have sin anymore! It teaches them to NOT try to keep control over their flesh. It PROMOTES A FLESHY LIFESTYLE WHICH IS EXACTLY HOW THE DEVIL SEEKS TO DESTROY CHRIST'S MANY MEMBERED BODY. IT PREACHES A LICENSE TO SIN.

The OSAS folks would probably like the following Scripture to just go away too...

Matt 5:19-20
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
(KJV)

You say that sanctification is a process. But the scriptures say that the child of God HAS ALREADY BEEN SANCTIFIDED BY THE SPIRIT OF OUR GOD. In other words our santification is not something we do. God has already done it for the child of God.

Acts 26:18
18 to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.'
NKJV

I have already been sancified and it is because of the same reason in the verse, by faith in Jesus.

Romans 15:16
16 that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. (past tense and it is the work of God)
NKJV

1 Corinthians 6:11-12
11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.
12 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
NKJV

What part of "All things are lawful for me" do you not understand?

Hebrews 10:9-10
9 then He said, "Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God." He takes away the first that He may establish the second.
10 By that "will" we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. (this is talking about God's will)
NKJV

Jude 1
1 Jude, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, To those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ:
NKJV

Sanctification is the work of God and if you can take the blinders off of your eyes you will see that the child of God is PRESERVED IN JESUS CHRIST. But I know you just can't believe that once we are saved we are kept saved because we have been (past tense) placed "IN CHRIST."

20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
(KJV)

Like I said, we will never agree on anything. In every thing you write there is a rule, law, that man must do. You are doing just what the Pharisees were doing, trying to establish your own righteousness by wht you do. Just like them you will not see that God determines who is righteous and the scrptures teach that the only way to God is through the shed blood of Jesus on the cross. You can't get to God by your efforts to not sin.

But I know you are not listening.

Heb 3:11-12 (NKJ)
11 So I swore in My wrath, 'They shall not enter My rest.' "
12 Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of ""unbelief"" in departing from the living God;

Heb 4:1-3 (NKJ)
1 Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it.
2 For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.

3 For we who have believed ""do enter that rest,"" as He has said: "So I swore in My wrath, they shall not enter My rest," although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

Heb 4:9-11 (NKJ)
9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God.

Note verse 10

10 For he who """"has""" entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.

11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. (unbelief = disobedience, see Heb 3:11-12 and Heb. 4:2,3)

We enter His rest and cease from our own works when we believe in Him (have faith, trust, confidence, and hope in His work on the cross), and not in our own works. To be disobedient is to NOT believe in what God has done on the cross, and instead, believe that you can be saved by what you do.

There's no way Richard you can try to justify such a doctrine of man as that by now trying to quote the rest of The Bible while not heeding those parts which tell us to repent even after... we've believed on Christ Jesus as our Saviour. If what I teach from God's Word seems too cornered and not free enough for you, then maybe you ought to try doing more Bible study for yourself instead listening to those who want you to think you have a free license to sin, instead of Christ's free gift that also means to follow His commandments and repent when we mess up.

Those messages to five Churches in Asia which our Lord Jesus rebuked and told to repent are still important for today. They had believers in them that thought grace meant they could do anything they wanted and still be covered for their sins.

Veteran, all you can do to support your false religion is to malign me and what I believe. Anyone can quote from the scriptures but that does not mean they understand them. You think you are right. Well I think I am right. You say my doctrine is of men but it isn't. Your doctrine is based on the standard teachings of an apostate church that blends the gospel of the kingdom (promised to the Jews and they rejected it) and the gospel of grace and that is a major error. My doctrine as you wish to call it is completely based on the scriptures that pertain to the grace church. You go back and blend the law with grace. Do you believe these scriptures are in the Bible. If so then why do you not believe them?

Romans 15:16
16 that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. (past tense and it is the work of God)
NKJV

Who does the sanctifing?

1 Corinthians 6:11-12
11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.
12 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
NKJV

In this scripture it plainly tells you that sanctification and being justified is acomplished by the Holy Spirit. Why don't you believe it?
What part of "All things are lawful for me" do you not understand?

Hebrews 10:9-10
9 then He said, "Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God." He takes away the first that He may establish the second.
10 By that "will" we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. (this is talking about God's will)
NKJV

What does the words "have been sanctified" indicate to you?
Jude 1
1 Jude, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, To those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ:
NKJV

Who in the about does the sanctifing? What does the words preserved in Jesus Christ mean to you.

Sanctification is the work of God and if you can take the blinders off of your eyes you will see that the child of God is PRESERVED IN JESUS CHRIST. But I know you just can't believe that once we are saved we are kept saved because we have been (past tense) placed "IN CHRIST."

Now if you reply, as if you did not read this reply, then just forget it. I have nothing else to say to you. If you do not believe your sins, all of them, were paid for on the cross then you are not a child of God. It is that simple. Think about it.

Galatians 3:1-3
Justification by Faith - 1 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified?
2 This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
3 Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?
NKJV

Obviously you and others think you are being made perfect by the flesh (the works of the flesh).

If sanctification were not a process...there would not be a ministry of Counseling and Deliverance...and there is. :)

I would not have to spend many hours with various brothers and sisters who have not dealt with unconfessed sin or demonic influences and strongholds in their lives. Some have family hereditary ties and curses and some in are in bondage with spirits of sexual lust and many other demonic strongholds. Just recently, a Pastor came to my friend asking for deliverance from the spirit of Sexual Lust. This Pastor is born-again and is led by the power of the Holy Spirit but his past issues had not been properly dealt with.

That would be just awesome if we could live the way that you are suggesting but the reality is...it is not true. People make decisions not to allow the Holy Spirit to deal with their past and will not forgive others for hurting them. That is their decision but it causes so much harm to their spiritual growth in God and he is patient but will not allow believers to remain in that state. Some believers become this way, after salvation because they have become entangled in certain sins that they have not confessed before God nor have they asked for his forgiveness.

Please re-read 1 Corinthians 6

[sup]7[/sup] Now therefore, it is already an utter failure for you that you go to law against one another. Why do you not rather accept wrong? Why do you not rather let yourselves be cheated? [sup]8[/sup]you do these things to your brethren! [sup]9[/sup] Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, [sup]10[/sup] nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. No, you yourselves do wrong and cheat, and [sup]11[/sup] And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.
Glorify God in Body and Spirit
[sup]12[/sup] All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. [sup]13[/sup] Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. [sup]14[/sup] And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power. [sup]15[/sup] Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! [sup]16[/sup] Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.” [sup]17[/sup] But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
[sup]18[/sup] Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. [sup]19[/sup] Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? [sup]20[/sup] For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body[sup] [/sup]and in your spirit, which are God’s.

He was admonishing his people because they were taking one another to court before the unrighteous. He was not pointing out the fact that they were washed from their past sins but rather, because they were washed from their past sins....they should not be acting this way toward one another...

I can see that you have no idea what I am talking about and I speak from 20 years of experience crossing many Church denominations in a ministry that sets the captive free...

and I can see that you need to be set free yourself

Shalom dear brother....there is no further need for me to talk with you as I believe that you are speaking from a lack of knowledge [in this area] and it would be unfair of me to continue...

PS: Many people reading this will know what I am talking about and my advice to them is to seek out a counselor in their local Church or ask your pastor to help you find one....:)

Blessings!!!

Shalom dear brother....there is no further need for me to talk with you as I believe that you are speaking from a lack of knowledge and it would be unfair of me to continue...

PS: Many people reading this will know what I am talking about and my advice to them is to seek out a counselor in their local Church or ask your pastor to help you find one....:)

Blessings!!!

I am so happy to hear that witness Angelina. Being called by Christ to do that work requires a lot of faith and strength in The LORD. May our Heavenly Father through His Son bless that good work through you.

So, to you, setting men free is your work. I thought the scriptures teach that Jesus sets men free. Perhaps if you and others were to teach The truth in Christ it would set men free.

No, you can't set me free because I have already been set free in Christ and I will not let those that are not free talk me into returning to the bondage of sins of the flesh. But you will not understand this.

As for your years of what you call accomplishments there are many false teachers that spend their whole life teaching that man must save himself by what he does instead of what Jesus has already done.

When salvation is the works of man then they are under bondage. I believe that salvation is the work of God and I am no longer under bondage (Law). I have been set free.

Mocking Angelina's ministry that The LORD has given her so as to help our brethren is not a sign of having understood our Lord's teaching about repentance. May He teach you that need for repentance, in Christ's Name, Amen.

I never mocked Angelina's ministry. You are some fellow that will mock my beliefs and then jump on me by saying I am mocking someone else. Perhaps you have a reason to do this. Are you and Angelina married?

I suppose you disagree with me when I said it is Jesus that sets men free. If that is true then you know nothing.
