On Friday 17th of May 1963, 10 small bombs of three dynamite sticks were put into various mailboxes. A person was mutilated when diffusing one of their bombs. At least 6 people were killed, with dozens more injured. This was the Front Liberation de Quebec FLQ. They were founded in the early 1960s by relatively small group of disillusioned nationalists. They wanted to create socialism of Marxist Leninist policies without proper democratic election. A 7 year long bombing campaign on Canadian civilians. They threw molotov cocktails in the city, then bombed federal government buildings. They are a terrorist group who’s goal is to the populace of Canada through violence. The Lord is against terrorism, and is against violence. C’est la veritie.

The FLQ in March 1964, created publication titled “La Cognee” aka “The Acts” which said that “the fight will be fought to the death”. Later publications showed instructions how to create bombs. As CTV reports in their documentary, innocent people died. This shows that the FLQ were aware of their actions of violence, yet continued to perform them. When the Israel people would wage war, they were told to not hurt any innocent people as the Bible describes.

We can see from this verse that the FLQ terrorist ideology is an abomination to the Lord, as it falls under the categories of “hands that shed innocent blood” due to the innocent people that were died. The FLQ terrorism mentality also had a “heart that devises wicked plans” due to the planting dozens of bombs all around the city to scare and hurt civilians thus also falling under “feet that make haste to run to evil” and just the definition of terrorism, promoting terror automatically counts as “one who sows discord among brothers” due to the civil unrest that was created and panic in the media, so much so that the Canadian army had to get involved.

They had over a thousand pounds of dynamite in their possession. They falsely believed they could achieve independence through violence; however, the Lord is against violence. All people who commit acts of violence will become believers in Christ and be washed of their sins of violence, all of their sins, and have the Holy Spirit inside of them and be permanently saved, thus being capable of producing good fruit, good works, after salvation.

On October 5th, 1970, a British diplomat was kidnapped. They forced him at gunpoint and abducted him. This is significant for history as it is North America’s first political kidnapping (CTV). Aka the October Crises. Another was kidnapped too. They had a demand to release 20 FLQ Members, half a million dollars, a TV broadcast of the FLQ Manifesto and threatened to kill the British diplomat if their demands remained unmet. Thus, Pierre Elliot Trudeau, current prime minister of the time, agreed to the latter demand, broadcasting their manifesto.

On Ottawa and in Quebec, the Canadian army was deployed. February 13th 1969, there was 27 people wounded by an attack on the Montreal Stock Exchange. Just 1 of 150 FLQ bombs that exploded between 1963 and 1970. There was 5 waves of bombings and 31 bombs in 6 months.
There was another at the Bank of Montreal building in the financial district. A whole car was filled with explosives, a 10-pound bomb under the passenger’s seat. On the driver’s seat, a foot case of dynamite, and another under the hood, totalling 150 pounds of dynamite. If this went off, it would have levelled an entire city block.
The FLQ bombers were arrested by crown prosecutors. However, many more members were out there. It was a dangerous ideology, since there was no clear leader, so individual workers could cause violence on their own. We are in a spiritual warfare against the forces of evil. The only way to fight against a dangerous ideology is with an ideology of love, Christianity. That’s why the Lord loves all people and is against sin. Everyone will be washed by the blood of Christ and be made clean, free of sin. Christian Universalism is a true ideology of love because it reflects the love that Jesus Christ has on all people.
