1Cor. 11:1
1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
A radical change happened on the cross, God exchanged an earthly people (Israel) for a Heavenly people (the born again).
He did not cast Israel aside and be through with her, but set her aside untill the end of grace. Israel like all people can only be saved by the cross now. The rejection of their Messiah, has put all covenants and promises of God on hold untill the Millennium.
The birthed of God are a people that have never exsisted before the cross. They have come into being by the death of Jesus Christ, and the killing of the sin-nature on the cross.
They have simply believed unto salvation and now they have a new father, God. With Christians struggling with their salvation You can see the importance of having a message to go with the new birth.
That is exactly where the wonderful Apostle Paul comes to the forefront of Christianity. He alone says he has a gospel that was given to him to give to us, the born again. He alone says he was given revelation after revelation to give to Christianity. He alone says follow me as I follow Christ. He alone said when you read me (what I write) you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ. He alone can bring freedom to the minds of men, and pure deliverance of soul and body (by his gospel).
On and on Paul goes about what he has been given to give to us. How can men say such a thing as this, how can they dispute over 4/5"s of scripture as not being directly writen to them. Because that is the way Jesus left it, when Paul was receiving revelation from Jesus, who do you think it was that told Paul we are "to know no man after the flesh not even Jesus."
Jesus Christ Himself told Paul, where do you suppose all Paul recieved came from, are we so dumbed down we can't read the written word of God like it is written.
Once religion has her hook in you, deliverance we be necessary, you do not walk out of religion, it will take the Father to bring you out, and untill then you will remain there.
How does He bring an individual out, usally through frustration and hunger.
Religion can be like a womb birthing children, but religion can only take you so far, you will need deliverance. You can try to walk away, but the mind set does not change and most just go back to their former lifestyle.
I'm making a point about following Paul and how important it is, you will never know the plan and purpose of God without understanding Paul.
