Do not confuse our past, uncovenanted state with the born-again life.

We have all sinned, but Jesus delivers believers from the bondage of sin and gives us the Holy Spirit so that we may indefinitely cease from sin through obedience to his commandments (Rom 6-8, John 15). If we do sin, we may repent, but it must not become a pattern (1John 2:1). There is nothing making sin inevitable for Christians (1Cor 10:13). Our flesh is cut away and crucified if we are in Christ.

[Rom 6:11-14 NASB95] 11 Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts, 13 and do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin [as] instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members [as] instruments of righteousness to God. 14 For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

[1Jo 2:1 NASB95] 1 My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous;

[Col 2:11 NASB95] 11 and in Him you were also circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ;

[Gal 5:16 NASB95] 16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.

[Gal 5:24 NASB95] 24 Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

[Rom 8:13 NASB95] 13 for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

God knows how much time to give us to figure this out. We don't have apostles anymore to hold preachers accountable to the truth, but we do have their words recorded in the Bible; it comes down to whether or not we take courage and acknowledge what is written, or shrink back into false interpretations that offer a transient sense of false security.

[Mat 7:14 NASB95] 14 "For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

[1Pe 4:1-2 NASB95] 1 Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same purpose, because he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, 2 so as to live the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

Make no mistake: There is no salvation outside of Christ. If we expect to remain in Christ and in his salvation, we must obey his commandments; they are not burdensome (1John 5:3). If we do not obey, we will be removed and thrown into the fire - the Second Death.

[Jhn 15:2, 6, 10 NASB95] 2 "Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every [branch] that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. ... 6 "If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned. ... 10 "If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love.*

*[1Jo 3:7-10 NASB95] 7 Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; 8 the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. 9 No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10 By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.*

[1Jo 23-24 NASB95] 23 This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us. 24 The one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

[Heb 10:26-27 NASB95] 26 For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a terrifying expectation of judgment and THE FURY OF A FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES.*

[Rev 2:11 NASB95] 11 'He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt by the second death.'

I hope this encourages the reader to dive deeper into faith and the fear of the Lord, and leave sin behind indefinitely. Let us press forward in righteousness unto perfection. It is possible with Christ.

Dear FeartheLord,
There is only one sin that leads to death (loss of salvation). It is the same "willful" sin that Paul mentions in Heb 10:26-27. This sin occurs when a new believer mixes works with faith. This is the same sin as mixing the Old Covenant (Old Wine) with the New Covenant (New Wine) and trying to serve two masters (Christ and Satan).

For a person to stop sinning, Christ will convert AND mature the person into a perfect man of full age. This happens solely by the spiritual work of Christ that He does within them.

To be converted, Christ will come to a person TWO times, followed by the judgment of the Day of the Lord.

The first time Christ comes to a person, He will give them the Early Rain of the Spirit. They are "many" in number. This small amount of the Spirit will give the person a "measure of faith" and certain spiritual gifts. This is when a person makes a confession of faith and enters the church. However, the Early Rain of the Spirit will leave the new believer (a "babe") carnally minded, spiritually blind and unconverted. In this condition, Satan will deceive the new believer and make them "worse than the first" (Mat 12:43-45). It is at this time the "babe" will commit the one and only sin that leads to death and become apostate. It has happened to 100% of all new believers since the death of Paul when the spirit of anti-Christ devoured the church. Nothing has changed since that time.

The second time Christ comes to person, He will pour out the Latter Rain of the Spirit. They are "few" in number and are chosen out of the "many". The Latter Rain of the Spirit is also called the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. It comes with strength and power (unlike the Early Rain of the Spirit) and will heal the person's spiritual blindness so that they come out of Satan's deceptions. This is when the person is "born again".

Immediately following the Latter Rain of the Spirit, the Day of the Lord will commence for the person. During this judgment, Christ will remove and destroy the chaff (all the spiritual things that has made them carnally minded) within them. After this judgment is complete, the person will be converted. This is when an apostate "babe" becomes a child of God.

For a new child of God to fully mature into a perfect man of full age, Christ will teach the new child of God His righteousness by teaching them "truth" and by chastising them by the Holy Spirit when they sin. As the child matures, their carnal mind (which is what causes them to sin) will be transformed into the mind of Christ. After this maturing process is complete, the person will never sin again and be like Christ.

Thank you for your words of encouragement. But don't dismiss the idea of some apostles, as the gift was not limited by the times, but only by our faith to receive. The term "apostle" simply means "one sent", and many are legitimately sent against the hordes of these evil times. Many are false, but the few are true.

Dear FeartheLord,
You said:
Works are only related to the Old Covenant if they are the works of the Law of Moses. However, we do have commandments from Jesus to obey. Those work must be added to our faith to keep it alive.

Any works that a person believes that they do for their salvation constitutes the sin that leads to death. Those works include a person's confession of faith and repentance. Why? Because those works are the works of Christ that He does through a person.

Prov 16:1 The preparations of the heart in man (by giving them the Early Rain), and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD.

Phil 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

The Doctrine of Free Will is the foundation of why a person will mix works with faith. It is by this false doctrine that a person will believe that they are worthy of salvation and why others who reject Christ are not. But this belief is not true and it comes from Satan's "another gospel" which mixes works with faith.

The truth is a person can only make a confession of faith because Christ has come to them beforehand and has given them the Early Rain of the Spirit. Unless Christ does this work within a person, they will continue to reject Christ.

This verse applies:

Mat 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

Most of the people of this world are not called to become saints - but "many" are. From this group of many, Christ has chosen a "few" for salvation. They are the Elect and are the only ones who Christ will convert in this age. They are saved before they die solely because they were blessed by God and chosen by Him for salvation from the foundation of the world.

Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

The balance of mankind will have to wait for Christ to save them during their time of judgment in the Lake of Fire. During their judgment, Christ will have mercy upon them and freely give them the Early and Latter Rains of the Spirit. With the Spirit, each person will then have faith and be "born again". The newly born child of God will then be gathered to heaven, leaving the child of the Devil (who they used to be) in the Lake of Fire to be destroyed (this satisfies justice).

These verses apply:

Mat 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law: justice, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

1Cor 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he
(the Elect) shall receive a reward. 15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

1Tim 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; 4 who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Consider this:

Mankind was created spiritually marred (Jer 18:4) which is why all mankind is carnally minded. It is the carnal mind that causes a person to sin. In this condition, no person can understand God's truth or make a confession of faith.

Rom 3:10 As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

1Cor 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

To save a person, Christ must do all the work. To cause a person to have faith, Christ will come to them (without their asking or permission/like He did with Paul) and freely give them the Early Rain of the Spirit. This is what the Apostles received when they walked with Christ and is what caused them to know that Jesus was the Christ and call Him "Lord". Without the Spirit, no man can call Jesus "Lord".

1Cor 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Spirit.

The Apostles received the Latter Rain of the Spirit on the Day of Pentecost. This is when they were converted and saved by Christ. They had no choice in the matter.

Paul received the Early Rain of the Spirit on the Damascus Road. At this time, Paul had no intention of accepting Jesus as His Lord. But all that changed when Christ "suddenly" came to His temple (Paul) and gave Paul the Early Rain of the Spirit. With the Early Rain, Paul fell to His knees and called Jesus "Lord". This is how everyone enters the church.

After receiving the Early Rain of the Spirit, Paul became blind (to show his spiritual blindness) and had to be led by the hand into Damascus. Then, after three days, Christ came a second time to Paul and poured out the Latter Rain of the Spirit. This is when Paul (like the Apostles) was converted and saved.

Mat 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

You asked:
Out of curiosity, where do you get this teaching from?

I received this understanding directly from Christ through scripture. It did not come from any teacher or church doctrine.

On Oct. 8, 2005, Christ came to me a second time and poured out the Latter Rain of the Spirit upon me. This was my day of conversion as this verse below teaches:

1Sam 12:17 Is it not wheat harvest to day? (day of salvation) I will call unto the LORD, and he shall send thunder and RAIN (the Latter Rain); that ye may perceive and see (spiritual blindness healed) that your wickedness is great (had become apostate), which ye have done in the sight of the LORD, in asking you a king.

On that day, the scales fell from my eyes (spiritual blindness healed) and I could see the Abomination of Desolation (Mat 24:15) that previously occurred within me. In other words, I could see that I had become apostate and was following the lies of Satan instead of the truth of Christ. Since that day, the Lord has guided me into "all truth" (John 16:13) and I have never gone back to any of the approx. 2,000 different apostate churches in this world.

This is how salvation comes to all the Elect. The churches of this world are all apostate and have been in this condition since the end of the 1st century.

Hello. Thank you for the comment and welcome. I have a lot that I can say on this subject, and I probably will in a later thread, but for now I encourage you to read my Statement of Faith on my profile. It explains more of why I don't think there are any more apostles.

For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God...

God's glory according to Jesus is selflessness. Does that redefine sin?

Sin is any transgression against Jesus' commandments. To say that Jesus was selfless is somewhat vague. He offered himself selflessly for all who would repent and obey him, but Jesus does have very clear boundaries.

What is an apostle?
An apostle is one who is sent by God to spread the gospel, establish churches, and keep them in order by appointing evangelists and pastor-teachers as overseers. They worked miraculous signs and wonders to demonstrate the power of the Holy Spirit, and their doctrine was pure - no errors.

If apostles still exist today, then they cannot disagree with each other on doctrinal matters, and they have to be above reproach.

Apostles and prophets were the foundation of the Church, with Christ as the cornerstone.

You make yourself sound like an atheist ("Can you prove this?").

I don't use the word "apostle", but I am sent, just as it is written of me. But don't ask me to quote the scriptures--'cause I won't. It is written. God is my witness, and I am His.

I don't use the word "apostle", but I am sent, just as it is written of me. But don't ask me to quote the scriptures--'cause I won't. It is written. God is my witness, and I am His.
Well respectfully, you're either an apostle or not; and if you are, then Christians need to be able to prove or disprove it. Skepticism has its place in discernment. There is no need to compare me to an atheist. It was an honest and valid question.

[Rev 2:2 NASB95] 2 'I know your deeds and your toil and perseverance, and that you cannot tolerate evil men, and you put to the test those who call themselves apostles, and they are not, and you found them [to be] false;

Thanks for posting what you believe is an apostle.

What does you were sent mean?

You don’t have to post scripture..I have discernment.
