Thursday 3-5-20, Adar 9, 5780 5th. day of the weekly cycle, 76th. Winter day

For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. Psalm Eighty Four:11

Psalm Eighty Four
King James Bible Par ▾

{To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm for the sons of Korah.}

How Lovely Are Your Dwellings!

1How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!

2My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.

3Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.

4Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.

5Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.

6Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.

7They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.

8O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.

9Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.

10For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

11For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

12O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

Love always, Walter and Debbie

The word of our Creator always seems to warm me and lift me up....thanks for sharing

I just want to comment of Psalm 84:9 especially....

YHWH is the life and the protector of his people for salvation. YHWH chose to assign and anoint a human proxy or substitute for this work over human history, as his human voice and hands. In the immediate context of this verse, the Messiah refers to King David of Israel.

YHWH continued to use men for his purpose of salvation in each generation or for each age - whether they be a King or prophet.

The final human Messiah of YHWH became his own created Son, Yahshua. He was the only human proxy created solely to be the permanent and final Messiah for all human ages to come.

We are to look upon the Father’s only true Son as the finisher of our salvation for all mankind. In his true Son we find the Father’s form, image and appearance. He is our true human born Lord and Savior, the true King of ‘Israel.’ King David could not hold a candle next to him. The previous saviors were temporary and could not bring eternal life. Yahshua brought to us, eternal life. We are then to believe in him as the Father commands. There is no other savior that brings permanent life to us.

Blessings,
