Philippians 3:13,
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
You have the power given to you by God to forget everything in your past. By Christ in you you have the power to forget everything that has happened to you in the past. You have the ability to become what is yours in Christ Jesus, the prize. What is the prize, Christ Jesus! and becoming what God created you to be. You understand when I use the words -you-I- at this point it has become a way of life for you and there is no seperation. You are the competed package, so to say, by the understanding you have. I don't need to explain all that is to you, you understand, we have fellowship, and we can move through the scriptures.
So now you understand how important your mind is, it will be your everything, it will be to you everything that has happened to you in your spirit, working out through soul. So dividing soul and spirit is imperative to growing in grace and knowledge. Without dividing soul and spirit at some point your growth is stymied and cannot grow any further than you're knowledge. What you know! in time will either be a stepping stone, or a stumbling block.
The power of the HolySpirit to make these things real to you, that is the power you recieved the moment you believed. There is no more to get, no more of God you recieved it all already, dont go off on all the different spiritual treks through your bible. Take what is wrtten to you in plain english and stay with it. That will take enough time without getting sidetracked.
It will be the world and religion that won't let you forget. Neither one has the answer, so it is strictly business, money is at hand, and they both know how to relieve you of it. I'm telling you it is right in front of you, read your bible like it is meant to be read and see if it does not point you to Christ as your answer for life, he is life and your only life. You have the power to forget everything that has ever happened to you, good or bad. Move on in the Lord, get up and move into "yeah the deep things of God," which is Christ in you the hope of glory.
