@L3astAm0ngManyB13ss3d Paul could say in Philippians 4.11: "I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, [therewith] to be content."

Sometimes the learning in view can take a long road of personal experience and testimony.

I agree and thank you. This may be a journey of much introspection and honesty for myself.
Pleas pray.

op: forgiving ourselves?
Emotionally difficult for many:

"
13) How can I forgive myself? Answer:

Many who are wonderful at forgiving others are rather poor when it
comes to forgiving themselves. When others are hurt by our selfishness,
carelessness, incompetence, apathy, or pride, the hammer of guilt falls
especially heavily on us. We need to learn to take ourselves off the hook
by forgiving ourselves, fixing our attitudes, and determining by The
Grace of God to improve." (K Lawson)

Offencive words for blacks are not suitable in a Christian discussion ( wog = abusive term for a coloured or black person )
He abbreviated Word of God, which was a mistake. And actually the word "forgive" occurs 56 times in the King James Bible.

Thank you,G.A.
Yes this is the answer my sister and I shared together yesterday. She made it plain to me IT IS NOT to be about me but rather He and his forgiveness.

I do not understand how guilt can take such root in our minds, especially something that is 55 yrs old. I'm working on trusting Jesus with it through my forgiveness and just putting it at the foot of the cross.

Since I've been in therapy, I'm learning a lot about myself and WHY I am the way I am.The Spirit has expedited this process by leading in sharing and through the word.

The days are certainly shortened and whether it be by death or Christ second coming I want a broken pure heart, and an humble contrite spirit when I stand before my Lord Jesus.

Thanks for the article in the Berean Searchlight on forgiveness!

Blessings.

Your own comment was totally inappropriate.

What did you actually think it meant?
Please forgive me !
If you had read the content of what I was saying instead of jumping on one of your word triggers you would have seen WOG means word of God and is in caps.

I would never be offensive to my own knowledge. Ppl are ppl in my world without bias and predijuice. Thank you for the info.

As I've also been told off for over reacting, I think no apologies are needed.

Still, i had no knowledge this was a slur upon someone's ethnicity.
I have no bias or prejudice against any. I live in the southern U. S. (most racist part)
As children of God there is zero segregation of race, denomination, we ALL ONLY have to believe in Jesus and the word.

Watch the power of CHRIST when one truly believes in HIM and calls upon HIS name . The news didnt catch something .
But i did . I heard a name getting said in prayer . And the demon in whom the man was could not resist the POWER
of that NAME . IT had to get up fast and release her . YEAH . JESUS CHRIST the same yesterday , today and forever .
JUST have FAITH IN HIM . NOT N US , NOT IN US , BUT FAITH IN HIM . Just watch this dear sister .
