We love him, because he first loved us.

No man loves God without repenting of sin and obeying God. No man repents of sin without being convicted for sin by the Spirit of God.

God so loved the whole world by sending His Son to become the propitiation for all sins of the world, but God did not Personally love every person on earth, until after Jesus' resurrection, and His Spirit is poured out upon every man to convict us of sinning.

And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.

Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.

The good news begins with the commandment to repent of sinning, and is accompanied by the Spirit to convict us of sin to do so.

It is the Comforter that convicts man of sin, because it is how God first loves any sinner, to convict unto repentance and not just condemn for sinning.

God loved us first personally, not only by dying on His cross to open the door to the Father to all the world, but when He first sent His spirit to personally convict us of sinning, that we may first come to for forgiveness of sins.

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

God first loves us by convicting us first for sin, and not just condemning us justly for sinning.

Only then can any man love both the Father and the Son, by first loving the Holy Ghost for convicting us in the first place.

I thought about this and decided that God showed us love even further back by creating us with free will. That started the wheels rolling for the final overcomers that love God with ALL their hearts to live and reign with Him in heavenly places forever.

I suppose you love your children by telling and reminding them how bad they are?

I know of one who is an accuser!

For the unrighteous, conviction for sinning is evil.

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

That's why they don't know how to correct their own children, to love them for their own soul's sake.

They either play-play with them, or lash out in frustration, because they themselves have never grown up.

It's also why they never have anything mature and sound to say about true righteousness and sound judgment of God and His saints.

And of course, that's also why they never preach doing righteousness, but perpetual 'mess ups': baby-talk ministry for never-grown Christians.

It's always someone else, isn't it?

I know them so well, because I was one of them, until I believed Jesus and grew in His grace.

I was on the rough and abusive side, and now I am on the honest, firm, and merciful side.

But I never thought to corrupt the souls and sear the consciences of any Christian child, by telling them they aren't judged by Christ the same as any other, when they do the same things.

Children already know that, but must be indoctrinated by false teachers, who will tell them Christians sinning may make Jesus sad, but they aren't condemned like others anymore.

But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

I don't let such play Christians have any access to indoctrinate my children, nor any others I have rule over in the church.

We preach against unrighteousness and self-righteousness, so the licentious and pharisees will go elsewhere to hear what they want and be around each other.

The doctrine of no condemnation for Christians while sinning with the world, is the gospel of becoming saved in order to not be judged with the world, while still sinning like the world: victory of condemnation without victory over sinning.

"All you need do, is believe Jesus is the Christ! So that when you sin, you won't be condemned for it anymore!!!"

"Why aren't you condemned like me? You're doing the same thing." "Yes, that's true, and I don't excuse it, but because I now believe in Jesus, I am not condemned for it like I was, and you still are. So, if you will just believe Jesus like I do, then you won't be condemned anymore like me too."

When I heard that rubbish as a sinner, my instinct was to slap them across the face, and if they had pushed it, then I would have.

I do not allow such pathetic and gross perversion of the cross and grace and blood of Jesus anywhere near any of my own children, nor any others that I am responsible for.

Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal? Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?

Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God? For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.

"We love him, because he first loved us" (1 John 4.19) is excellent to remember......
And since understanding it begins also with conviction, then I can say that I now turn myself to resisting conviction less and less.

God does so for our good to repent and continue with Him, unlike the world that does so just to condemn.

I even find myself resisting words of my wife less and less, when they are true. Now that is progress.

It is the Lord that bears witness to all truth, and it is the Lord we ought desire to walk with in the Light, where there is no darkness at all.

Resisting conviction leads to darkness for us, and separation from Jesus.

Such a lot of searching verses in John's First Epistle...

Such a lot of searching verses in John's First Epistle...
I believe this sheds light on sinning that is not unto death, and sinning that is unto death.

If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.

Sinning that is not unto death is Christians acknowledging the conviction of it, and seek repentance not to be condemned with it.

But those that reject any condemnation and conviction for sinning, have no hope. They will sin unto death without forgiveness by way of confession with godly sorrow.

John is saying that we must pray for ourselves and others, if we are in the snare and conviction of sin. But if Christians say they are no0t condemned for it, and even declare conviction to be a guilt trip of the devil, then what is there to pray for? Nothing.
