ya it's hard to explain..but it's definately how the holy spirt works. See it really isn't about God talking to people, it's about his holy spirit- which is the spirit of truth and faith- who is discerning you of things in this world, according to god, because we are of god, so therefore his holy spirit gives us the answers to questions or concerns we have. God is not talking to us in an audible voice. his personal presence is not of this world. But he says seek my face, which is in the spirit world, and we cannot witness him in this life physically (that includes audibly)...but if someone ever does, then obviously God has a plan for them, such as he did saul, who heard an audible voice. and that is scary..very scary! lol but true:cool:

I have to believe in dreams because I have them but we need to very cautious with dreams and apply much discernment for a spicy taco can cause us to dream I have found that my message dreams are nothing like regular dreams you can not mistake one for the other I have compared the differce in an anology one is like listening to the radiothe other is like being at a live concertOne hears the radio with one sense (hearing) and you just listen along when I have message dreams I know my body is asleep but I am awake and experiance it as an event with all my senses I see the brilliant colors feel the emotions smell the aromas for allintensive purposes I am awake though my body sleeps I can often ask questions and get answers from somewhere I often get told things my mind did not know But still great discernment should be taken in these matters If its not 100% biblical or truth it is not from God

Hi FollowChrist...It may just be that I'm as old as dirt and my eyes aren't as good as they used to be but I have a really difficult time reading some of the things you have written in the darker colors (purple).....I hate to miss what you are writing. Can you put them in brighter lettering? I dug deep the Word of God, I tried whatever the Word tells me to do. But still I do not know what they are talking about.1.Does God speak to you in an audible voice?. Is it as simple as they say, it is, to tune into this frequency of God and immediately hear Him talk to you?Anyone with this experience please tell us what is the voice you hear. What does it sound like. What is the tone and temperament with which it is spoken to you? If it is an audible voice as some say, why don't they reply in an audible voice too?2. Often we say we must walk in the spirit, worship in the spirit, live in the spirit, pray in the spirit, we must read the bible in the spirit, We must evaluate Gods word in the spirit. I think the wisdom of God is different to that which of Satan and the world.When Jesus says, " Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." We see that Jesus taught that his words were Spirit and they were life. We see the life of a believer rests in them listening to the Holy Spirit. 1 John 2:27 (King James Version) 27.But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.It is when we have faith in what God has taught us that we hear the Lord speaking clearly to us. It is about knowing the right thing to say when needing it and knowing what to do without anyone telling us, that we know the Lords Spirit is working in us and we are being obedient. It starts with obedience in the word. Faith in Christ is the only way to reach any of the levels in faith we require to bear fruit.The presence of the Lord should be there in your mind and heart all the time.Sometimes when amongst some believers you will feel that you are alone with the Lord as if they do not seem to know the same things. Then at other times there will be those you feel at one with who seem to know exactly how you feel in your relationship. You must be in Christ to be in the Spirit. Because no one can say Christ is Lord but by the Spirit. I just meant that I agree with what you said. I also added that when the Holy Spirit puts the thoughts in your head or spirit usually these thoughts are backed up in his Word. When He presses in you it becomes personal to you, He is urging you to act-love, faith, recieve, give etc. example:God might convict you to visit or pray for a sick person. In His word in James 5 it tells you what to do. But knowing this is not walking in the spirit, doing it is living in the spirit.

I know some people who hear an audible voice. I know others who get pictures. God speaks to us all in different ways.I have sometimes had images and words of knowledge, but for the most part God speaks to me with a leading or nudge. With that comes a certainty. I sometimes find myself on trains of thought and ideas that are foreign to me and as such they cannot come from me. Of course, there is the likelihood that they come from the Enemy, so I test everything.If something is from God it always draws me closer to him. It is always immersed in love and grace. It always brings blessing to me or someone else. It always promotes unity in the body. None of these things can come from Satan and are unlikely to originate with me because I am opinionated, narrow-minded and judgmental by nature. The other tests are: is it consistent with God's character as revealed in scripture, is it consistent with his Word, is it consistent with the experience of other believers and is it independently confirmed in some way.I have stopped believing in coincidence. Everything happens for a reason. Everything has its own timing. God places us in situations and surrounds us with people who we can touch their lives and they can touch ours. We can shut them out and ignore them, but God is persistent enough that patterns soon develop. As we step out in obedience to the Holy Spirit's leading, we become more sensitive to God and we become more useful to him.I believe that we are all really two people, the people we are and the people that we can be. In between are endless possibilities. We are all filled with endless potential if we could only perfectly discern his will and be the person that he sees us to be. I am sure that I disappoint God, but I also know that he delights in me and that he sees a better me than I can imagine. And I know that when God looks at me through the eyes of Jesus that I am perfect and good. Knowing this makes a huge difference. It affects everything that I do. I cannot say what others experience is from God. I cannot say that he will relate to you as he does to me. Please remember I did not ask to locate the spirit, I did not ask what it does but I simply ask how do we locate the spirit in me and sense it.I am sorry if I sound demanding. I truly believe God speaks to us but its in such a suttle way we often do not recognize it God speaks in that quite little voice we all have inside that voice we all hear that says this is not good,do not go there, or that feeling that this is right. Many of you have for example heard a teaching that you suddenly know you are hearing a truth then you can look to the word to confirm it and its suddenly so obvious you can not believe you didn't see it before.If we would listen to that little voice inside more we would be better off but it is human nature to reason it away as your mind playing tricks on you or you let the desires of the flesh reason away the thought. I dont think the problem is God doesnt speak to us its more we do not listen when he does.
