Luk 9:23 And He said to all, If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has observed the high level of privilege and success that some people enjoy and the extreme opposite that others are forced to endure.

Perhaps you know a Christian couple that seem to have a Golden Ticket. They come from wealth, have been showered with love and affection and attention by professional Christian parents, by devoted siblings, and by doting extended family members. They have good health and good looks along with exceptionable talent and amazing abilities. They are highly educated to PhD. level and beyond as University and Seminary graduates, and have a good living from the organisation they work for as they raise their adorable children and travel the world with ease.

Then there are traumatised folk whose childhood has been marred by poverty, abuse, neglect and demoralisation. They lack social skills and their education is deficient. They are underachievers who make poor choices and struggle in bad relationships. Often they are isolated, stigmatised, depressed, and unattractive. They may be childless or single and being around model families is stressful, even though they are longtime Christians who know they must carry the cross they have been given to bear.

Anyone resonate with these scenarios?

I was the golden child. The coat of many colors daughter. Now Im in a long trial. None of that comfort and privilege is in my life now.

I trust that God will use the wilderness for His glory and my good. At first Christianity improved my life in every way. Now Im answering the call to suffer.

Ill keep going no matter what.

In a way, God is answering things I asked for. I asked to be close to Him like Moses. To have anointing. All kinds of things.

I don't think the golden ticket Christians are necessarily refusing to carry their cross. We just need to be able to deal with the consequences of how much we want from God.

Yes. If one desires to be out of the limelight and wants to avoid the burdens of hierarchal authority, then when God gives that desire one should be content to minister at that level.

Php 2:3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.

I meant I was cherished and favored. I forgot about golden child syndrome. I think that's where you are only valued for achievements that make your parents look good. That wasn't me.
I believe it is much more complicated than that with certain family dynamics. Was there a scapegoat amongst your siblings?

Well if you are not suffering from trauma, then there could be something biological that is affecting your neurotransmitters. I am not a medic by the way just am one who has had to do a great deal of biohacking though my life since mercury poisoning in infancy.

Medical science does not have all the answers especially if it is to do with nutrition or things that have not been discovered yet like inborn errors of metabolism. If you want more tips and places where they may be able to help send me more details. x
