Our Father cannot see our sin....it is covered by the blood of Jesus...but He is aware of our frailty of the flesh and that our flesh wars against our spirit continually.
Oh, h2s, not you too? Don't you know that it was the blood of bulls and goats that merely COVERED our sin, but could not take it away; it remained? Jesus was manifest to TAKE AWAY COMPLETELY our sin, and in Him there is no sin. 1 John 3:5-9. Grace is the divine power of God to no longer commit willful sin. 2 Peter 1:2-11

1 John 5:16-17 shows there are two types of sin. Jesus is NOT our Advocate for sins unto death. But people like to believe He is, but that is not true.
The sin unto death is to return to the former beliefs after learning His Truth.
The scripture is in Hebrews 6.. the book of Hebrews is addressing the Jews who were tempted to go back to their Judaism Faith.
The main topic of Hebrews is to teach that Jesus is the High Priest....it does not refer to Christians who still believe in Jesus and still seek to walk in His Truth.

I agree about Hebrews 6. But what you believe about the blood of Jesus covering our sin so the Father can't see (us committing them [I assume]), is false, being unscriptural.

@Not me Reminds me of what John the Baptist said of the Lord Jesus: "He must increase, but I must decrease" (John 3.30).

Yes, it is a spiritual truth to learn by experience...

Yes, I remember after 30 years in church, struggling with sin, that I finally confessed that there was no way I could be good enough on my own, and suddenly I heard His voice, and He baptized me with the Holy Spirit. WOW! From then on I had new desires, and no desire to sin.

It is interesting that not every Christian has the Holy Spirit as I had been taught. It is also sobering to realize that I wasn't saved until being baptized with His Spirit either.

Does scripture say that God cannot look upon sin? There must be a blood covering for the atonement of our sins. Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin.

Well others might call it being washed by the blood.
See this is what I comprehend....God knows all things from beginning to end...our names are already written in the Book of Life....Jesus became the sacrificial Lamb for the atonement of sin. When He hung on the cross and died He took the sins of the world upon His own self....went to Hell....made an open show of Satan before all his demons...took the keys of authority away from him....set all those in captivity free...then rose on the 3rd day as Lord of Lords, King of Kings, Mighty Conqueror....He became destroyed the curse of sin and death. All those sins are upon Him and His Righteousness is upon us.
I am a Child of the Most High....I was PURCHASED with a great price...the blood of Jesus....I became born again...of His Spirit and I am held in His mighty Hand and no one can pluck me from it.
He didn't unborn me....He didn't take me back to Satan and ask for a refund....He said I am your Father and I will teach you to walk in my ways. As a Father should, He rewards us for our obedience and chastises us for our disobedience (sin)....but He NEVER leaves us or forsakes us....No matter how many times we mess up.
What earthly father casts away his child just because they disobeyed his rules?
My Father told me that as much as I love my daughter, so much more does He love me that I cannot comprehend it. And as my daughter grows and is taught right and wrong at some points she will disobey and then she is chastised....but no matter how much she messes up I will NEVER stop loving her or cease to be her mother.
Our Heavenly is a 1000 times a better parent than we will ever be. His Mercy and Grace is new each day....He desires our life to be blessed above what we could ever ask or think.

Oh my....going to stop...sorry for the long post.

@soul man The arid conditions in parts of California make the situation with fires worse, I guess. Good to pray for one another.

That place is about to burn down. It does that every year the poor folks are being displaced

Ephesians 1:4-5

Ephesians 1:4-5 may be the greatest verse of scripture we have concerning what was going on in the mind of our father when planning all creation-before creation.

It's like the "lamb slain before the foundations of the world," the place Jesus was slain was in the mind and plan of the father before the foundations of the world. I do a speculative conversation between the Father and the Son on what took place before the foundations of the world.

I can hear Jesus say as his father is laying out a plan "send me father I'll go." He loved the father so he would do whatever it was to please and fulfill his father's will for all of his plan for a created world. John 17.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: - Ephesians 2:8.

Thank God for this verse.

What makes an individual dead to the law? The cross. What is it that took a lost and dieing soul and set it apart of any law works? Why sure, the cross did it. The cross is the cross over from death to life with Christ being the life. So we give up death, or we should say we "reckon yourself dead" to the law and everything else we have ever thought might save me. There is nothing you can do to make grace of God on the cross work for you as part of your salvation except recieve it.

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. - Romans 5:2.

After your salvation, you now can still go deeper into the grace of God "by faith access this grace we preach" Paul said. What is this grace we access and preach? It is the finished work of God on the cross by Christ death, burial, resurrection, ascension, and return (for lack of a better word) to dwell in every born again believer. Understanding this is what saves a individual, not their doing works or keeping the law of doing.

What is a believer? A believer is one that has been born again, they believe in the cross of God for their salvation and have Christ in them.

Do you know what saves you? Have you ever given much thought to what really saves you. Your salvation is "Christ in you.' You believe in Jesus Christ as your personal savior, and what saves you is 'Christ in you.

What if you believed and God did not save you right then. What if you had to do something else to go with God's salvation to make it work. This is the good news for believers! There was nothing you could do to make it work, it worked regardless of you. Your salvation is complete by Christ in you, you do not have to mix anything with your salvation except life. If you want to work at your salvation then work at having the only life there is "Christ in you the hope of glory."

Since the cross Christian's have struggled to get a handle on their salvation, actually put a finger on it. They know their saved but their still looking at what saves them, there is your answer "Christ in you is your salvation" nothing else can save you. Happy trails!
To qualify for the application of Ephesians(epistle) to our lives, one must first obey Acts 2:38.

Does scripture say that God cannot look upon sin? There must be a blood covering for the atonement of our sins. Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin.

Of course not, that is why Jesus' blood cleanses us of ALL sin; He takes it away, not just covers it up. Do you think He then leaves us with the old carnal nature of Adam? NO! Jesus is the new Adam. We become partakers of the divine nature of God that does not sin. The law of the Spirit of life in Christ has FREED us from the law of sin and death. Otherwise, we are not born again prepared for heaven. The New Covenant method regarding sin, is completely different than the Old Testament COVERING of sin, like a tarp over a cesspool, leaving the vile stench below.

The key word of the most common false doctrine is "cover." Anytime I hear someone use the phrase "the blood of Jesus "covers" our sin," I know they have been taught the watered down, powerless understanding of what the blood of Jesus actually does, and lives their lives struggling with sin, but has the false assurance that God can't see their sinning, so they still have their ticket to heaven. That person's desires are still carnal; they have not been born again. Jesus is coming back for a spotless Bride, not one who is still a slave to sin.

Part of the false doctrine is "we will always sin until we die and receive new bodies." The misunderstanding of the word "flesh" is the problem. Paul uses it equal to the old sinful carnal nature inherited from Adam. Those who believe this doctrine of demons never seek to be free, because they have been told they have to go through a life-long process of sanctification of overcoming sin. In other words, they have to become righteous in their own power of learning right from wrong. Good grief, that is what the Old Covenant was all about, but Romans 7:13 shows the problem. Sin in our nature. What is needed is a brand new spotless, powerful nature that partakes of the divine nature of Christ. 2 Peter 1:2-11. This is why 2 Peter 1:9 shows that only our past sins were cleansed. 1 John 1:9 ideally needs to only happen once. Then the fruit of the Spirit grows to maturity. The result of immature fruit causes minor trespasses, but forgiving others their trespasses against us causes our Advocate to forgive our trespasses. Matthew 6:14-15
