For me one of the best remedies is to remind myself . . . God is here with me now . . . God is active in my life . . . God loves me. And then just focus on what I'm doing at this moment, try to engage myself fully. And I love playing the old hymns.

Thank you. I just wish I felt the certainty...it would make things so much easier. I know that is where faith is supposed to come in but with my wiring it's a struggle.For me one of the best remedies is to remind myself . . . God is here with me now . . . Believe me . . . I get it. That's me too. It's not easy, and sometimes I just have to work hard to keep my mind focused, and sometimes I'm not successful.
At the heart of the Gospel, it's about what Jesus did, not what we do. He knows are weakness, and sympathizes with us.
Sometimes my prayer is like the boy's father in the Bible, "I believe, help my unbelief!"

I am praying for you now. I fully understand where you are coming from. We recognize that Satan is constantly putting thoughts in our minds that are meant to drive us further from The Lord. It is a constant battle. We are NOT all wired the same for sure, we have different backgrounds, different experiences and it can be a life long process to heal, yes even through Christ. We were shaped by our upbringing and the things that might have happened to us when in our formative years. I pray that God will show you the way and remove any and all obstacles that might be blocking your healing. His peace is amazing!
