There is a misunderstanding that goes around a lot. For some reason, which we should know, many think that if they seek Jesus Christ and His small voice, that they will become crazy lawless people. Who tells them that????

Of course, it is the devil that tells them that, but sense their discernment of spirits is poor, simply because they don't practice using their spiritual ears and are unwilling to actually seek the voice of our Lord Jesus Christ, they are constantly deceived!

Indeed, the small voice of the devil tends to make people act lawless. Yet since "Hear O Israel" is the foremost command and the command that gets us loving the Lord our God with all our heart, then those not hearing our Lord Jesus Christ are indeed the lawless people!!!!

Jesus Christ explained that our righteousness must exceed that of the Pharisees.

Mat 5:20 “For I say to you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven."

The Pharisees were trying to live the best they could by leaning on their own understanding of the Law and the traditions, but they did not seek the voice of the Lord!! Therefore the voice of the Lord is what makes our righteousness exceed that of those trying to live a righteous life with our hearing the voice of the Lord.

Let me give example of what happens when I go around listening to the Lord compared to what happens when I don't.

All drivers have been in those times when someone is cutting your off or wants to cut you off. We have a tendency to not want to let the person in. A person trying to be righteous according to their own understanding will perhaps remember that they need to be patient and understanding, so they will let the person in. Yet, when I am listening to the Lord like I should, I will hear Him tell me ahead of time that a person wants to get in so I can open up a space even before the other person is struggling to get in. In that way my righteousness exceeded even the best efforts of a person not listening to the Lord.

In the Bible where it is written that the Lord guides your steps, He actually does if we are willing to listen like we should!

Now Paul said He took all thoughts captive to Jesus Christ, I confess that I am not close to doing that, but I do it at times. When I listen to the Lord my righteousness (non-lawlessness) far exceeds the times when I don't listen to the Lord. So, hearing from Him does not make a person crazy, it makes a person wiser, smarter, and just plan better all around.

If anyone is thinking that seeking the voice of the Lord Jesus Christ is going to make them lawless and crazy, then need to stop listening to those liars! We do indeed battle with the dark evil spiritual forces of this world. and we should be more aware of how they work. We need to start seeking the voice of our Lord Jesus Christ, and we ( I ) need to listen more!

He asked me to make this post this morning, now He is asking me to take a walk with Him. :)
