Is heaven really heaven if it doesn't include peace of mind?

How do we achieve peace of mind? Does God wave a magic wand and suddenly we have peace of mind?

Does this verse tell us anything about how to achieve peace of mind?:

From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matthew 4:17 RSV

You achieve peace of mind by not worrying anymore.

How is that achieved?

By Believing that God is going to help you, no matter what.

See, Gods Love, and God's Cross of Christ, and God's Salvation, and God's HELP, are not based on us deserving it.
AND ONCE we understand this, then we can rest in the Peace that is found by knowing that God helps us, because of HIS Goodness, and not because of our behavior.

See, when we try to 'get help" because we are trying to be good enough to deserve it, then we fail, as we dont deserve it, and never will.

But because of God's Great Love for us, who loved us before we came to Him... HE will help you, because God is Love and He is always going to love you, Reader.... No matter what..

See, God's love is UNCONDITIONAL.. its not based on your performance.. Its based on HIS MERCY and "God's mercy is Eternal". "God mercy endures FOREVER"....

Repentance has nothing to do with it?

Repentance has nothing to do with it?

Unbelievers repent from unbelief.

Is that you?

If not, and you are born again, you are "the righteousness of God" 'In Christ",
This is not based on your behavior..
That's based on the finished work of Jesus on the Cross, that God accepts on your behalf, if you have trusted in Christ.
As your "faith was counted by God, as Righteousness".

So, being now born again as "made Righteous", ... what would you repent from?

You mean, if you watch porn, or smoke some marijuana, or get drunk?

That is not a "repenting" situation, that is a "i dont understand Salvation yet"... situation, and once you do, then those carnal deeds are not a problem., anymore.

There will be no sad people in heaven==Revelation 21:3. I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them.a 4He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”

There are no guarantees in this life that we can avoid stress. That is not to be confused with Peace of Mind about our Eternal Standing with God.

We can have peace of mind with respect to the status of our soul if we are presently pleasing God. Lots of static comes in the course of our lives, from our own minds, from others, from unfortunate circumstances. But we can brush aside some of the negativity by setting our minds on Christ, from whom comes the spiritual help that we need to cope in our lifetimes.

Some problems are persistent and very difficult. No magic pill. Just keep holding on until things change. God knows.

I'm talking about repenting of our sin.

Why not just believe God and His eternal living Word??
There will be no sad people in heaven==Revelation 21:3. I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. If we repented of our sin, would that significantly reduce our stress?

As I said, some kinds of stress are clinical, and some are based on traumatic experiences in the past. The mind cannot quickly let go of traumatic memories.

Repentance should give us some sense of forgiveness, but not always. I suffered years of a false sense of "unforgiveness," due to failures early in my life. We simply have to take the medicine, and get back on the horse. No going back....

You don't think repenting of our sin would reduce the stress in our lives?
