I'm a believer in Christ who struggles at times to faithfully follow him, but I continue to try. I hope that fellowship with other Christians can help me to stay on the right path.

Thanks for reaching out. We hope you will be inspired to remember that all temptations of the flesh can be overcome when you pray to God to help you. Even the Apostle Paul had to live with his temptations!

A word of warning: Fellowship on a Christian forum isn't always uplifting or encouraging. Some of what goes on here could even be considered very bad. But God in his way is working all things (even here) together for good for those who love Him according to His purpose. Even here.
What may help, is being here may give you the opportunity to sort things out in your own mind, to ask questions and get answers. Some of which--caution--will be totally wrong. One way to keep things in perspective and know what is good and what is not, is to determine what is true by love or hate. You will see both. When things get heated--and they do--this will tell you who to actually believe. Of course a harsh word, is not always a bad message, and a nice word is not always the truth. But the love or hate motive should otherwise be clear and helpful in sorting things out.

Dont forget the devil has his version of love and what he calls hate .
SO your response should have been
IS to determine what is true BY EVERY WORD OF GOD . that is how we know what is TRUTH .
Ev ery thing JESUS said is truth . The devil can make his words seem to be as hate
SO , lets point this f ellow INTO the BIBLE . the most hated book known to man and sadly to a lot even within christendom
seeing they often omit , twist and change things IN IT .

Ha, yes! I was editing while you were writing.
But I was really referring to what a person says or claims, likely by their own understanding or interpretation, rather than just what the scriptures say--which are true indeed, but often misrepresented.

Something i learned by grace long ago .
As i too had grown very sad , very frustrated at why so very many were not hearing the Truth .
A small voice came to me .
YE cannot give the increase . He who hears amen , he who forbears its on them .
BUT , BUT DO NOT stop preaching the truth no matter what .
JUST dont get frustrated and vexed . But also DO NOT stop procliaming the t ruth .
Its a walk my friend .
Sometimes folks make the mistake of not speaking the truth because of all the fighting from others .
DO NOT make that mist ake .
JUST simply realize , WE aer not GOD and cannot give the increase .
in fact double down on reminding this people OF THE TRUTH .
JUST dont get so worked up when they dont hear you . cause MOST WONT .
WE ARE IN A MASSIVE falling away n ow .
IMA GINE how lott mus have felt
And how the prophets and others felt . WHEN THE MASS majority HAD WENT THE Wrong way
and were not repenting , were not hearing .
DO NOT GIVE UP on the preaching of the TRUTH , of correcting false doctrines .
JUST dont let THEM wear you down .
