I must admit….those who use that expression “old man” seem to be referring to their father and it always makes me laugh, especially is this true in Australia where it is common to refer to your father as your “old man”.….I rather think that “the old personality“ and the “new personality” are better descriptions of the situation that happens when we come to believe in Christ’s teachings and change our ways.

I hope you have some good points of discussion. No need “to bring attention to Jesus Christ“ here as he is the focus of most of the postings on these forums….what you need then is to increase your knowledge as this is what reinforces our faith. Learn how to back up what you believe and your faith will be strong when it is challenged. Being challenged is a good thing because if you cannot defend what you believe, it’s not worth believing it. Blind faith never saved anyone. (1 Peter 3:15)
