Hi everyone,

I'm a teacher from the UK. I work near Hong Kong. I just wanted to join this forum and connect with other Christians.

I'm turning 40 in November. I've had problems with alcohol and smoking in the past. I didn't take care of myself.

But I've changed a lot. I've been with my girlfriend for 5 years now. I'm really starting to act more mature. My life is more settled.

Now I want to work on my spiritual side. I was raised Catholic. I always believed in God. But for most of my life, I didn't really live like it. I want to change that.

I just want to live a cleaner, more positive life.

Nice to meet you all.

God bless.

A belated welcome. Thanks for sharing your journey and your intent to live a more spiritual life.

All us here can relate to past struggles, and how God never gave up on us.

Would you care to share your views on marriage? (See also Matthew 19) At one time it was taken for granted most would marry, but not so true anymore. What are the views in your community?

Blessings.

Where I live, they still have a very traditional view on marriage. Although a lot of younger people are not getting married these days, because they don’t wanna give into the societal traditional pressures. Also, my view on marriage is that I do plan to get married in the near future, but I've got a lot of things to sort out first.

If you sharing a pillow with another outside of a Biblically approved male/female marriage you are living in ongoing sin.
Been there done that plus lots of other pillows so no better than you.
THE GOOD NEWS ?

i also was raised Catholic but was not Born-Again until God called me to Christ

What!!! you may say, did you not believe in Jesus as a Catholic?

Yes, i believed in Jesus from my Catholic upbringing but i never received Salvation in Christ.
Because religion can never save a single soul!

Only thru faith in the Gospel can we be Saved.

God is calling you to the LORD JESUS CHRIST and HIM Alone = Begin by praying to Christ as you read the Gospel of John.

Thank you for sharing.

It would be fruitful if there were a way to persuade the younger generation that the traditional family is the foundation for the best society. This fact is not only recognized by Christianity, Judaism, Sikhism, et al., but is known and practiced among indigenous peoples throughout the world. Unfortunately, political systems that replace God with the State know that they need to undermine the traditional family for their control, which makes promoting the traditional family all the harder for Christians.

We wish you the best, and hope to see you engaged in other Forum discussions.

Blessings.
