Hello,
I went to a mosque while a student at a Bible College and I was asked, "How well did I understand the Bible?", and I responded that "I knew the Bible as well as how well he knew the Quarn." He quickly moved onto the next student in the group to try and sow doubt in his mind about his Christian faith as he realised that he could not reason with me to plant any doubt within my mind that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob was not real and that the Bible had errors within it.
The God of Abraham gave this prophecy to Abraham in Genesis 15:16: -
Genesis 15:16: - But in the fourth generation/age, {of the existence of your descendants} they shall return here, {to the Land of Canaan} for {at that time}, the iniquity, {i.e. the sins against the God of Abraham} of the Amorite {people} is not yet full and completed.
Note that I have add to the translated paraphrase of the Hebrew text contained between "{ . . }" to improve clarity of my/our understanding of the verse.
The God of Abraham informed Abraham that the Amorite people group who he was living amongst in the Land of Canaan at that time, would commit blasphemy against Him and that this blasphemy would come to its completion after the return of some of Abraham's descendants returned to the land where he was living.
This prophecy, from God, was given to Abraham over 4,000 years before some of Abraham's descendants returned to the Land of Canaan in their own strength in 1948 AD.
In Abraham's time, the Amorite people worshipped idols like the Moon God and today the Amorite people group's religion is called Islam and the moon symbology is part of the visible face of the Islamic religion today.
Islam is trying to prove to the world today, that their "religion" is the only true religion for the peoples of the earth, yet the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob foretold that Islam is not the religion that He would show to Abraham in His covenant relationship with Him.
I trust and pray that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will reveal to you His truth as He draws you deeper into a meaningful relationship with Him.
Shalom.
