so its ok to ignore speed limit signs? A law is a law. Those who are saved are not under the law, yet that doesnt mean its anarchy either. The laws and commandments exist for our own good. They’re not just God trying to make our lives worse or more difficult.
In the Old Testament the Lord is talking to the Jews. I don't think he meant for Christians to follow all the ordinances, statutes, decrees, and testimonies that the Jews were to follow. However, if the Lord calls something an abomination, it is an abomination.

What happens if you break one of the commandments?
Sack cloth and ashes to atone, and if you break one...you broke all of them?
Not sure where you are really going here Bob.

We honor God by obeying His Son.
I'm saying we can't be happy if we don't have respect, and that we have to earn that respect by obeying the Lord's commanents.

You might explain exactly what you mean by "stand in Christ." Do I stand in Christ when I pray constantly (as Paul instructed) and obey the Lord's commandments?
That is what I originally asked you.

are we standing in Christ.

or are we standing in self.

The post I responded to you said something about adherence to code of conduct.

But you haven't defined "standing in Christ," have you?

A code of conduct might be: Obeying the Lord's commandments.
