House Churches?

Hi,

Does anyone here go to a house church or has visited a house church? There is a house church near where I live in Lititz, PA, USA, I was there for a meeting years ago. Those people were RADICAL! There was an extremely strong presence of God in the house! I loved it there, I still haven't been back but I would like to pay them another visit someday. Going to a house church has helped me understand the underground church in nations closed to the gospel, the underground church in foreign countries meets in house churches.

True sheep do gather . but not under an ecumeincal inclusive harlot .
And now , in these last and final days and hours upon earth
they have to often meet on phone , or in houses , maybe in a park or etc .
Cause most all of christendom has been infiltrated by the love of a harlot .
Now to the trenches one and all . If any has to wonder how LOTT must have felt

and her cry of anti christ peace for the world . her father satan , the inclusive god has done his work
as has his many co workers in all the false religoins as well as within christendom .
And our betrayal cometh and its even at the door .

I had been to a house church prior to it becoming a real church planted in my community. It's more like a home group where folks are more connected and there is more opportunity for friendships and learning more about the Bible through studying together.

Sure, I have been to home churches and I've hosted them. There are many positives and some negatives. They lack many of the service opportunities than a larger church can offer. But they are more intimate. Most churches now also have home church nights- usually a bible study. Some are just for men, some for women and others for both. They are just like a home church.
Fortunately, we haven't been forced underground yet- it's not quite the same as China when we have a home church!.
Churches today vary greatly and not all are a disaster. At least not where I live. We still have several old time pastors who stay biblical- I may not agree with everything, but It's ok- The people are my bros and sisters and fellowship is a wonderful thing. I love when a new couple comes in seeking or when I meet a widow and can lift her up. . funding missions- pantry, prisons ministries, community outreaches, so many various opportunities to serve- that a home church just doesn't have.
I know where Lititz is.. I have family in Lancaster County.

Surely a church doesn't become a "real church" based on where it meets. In the New Testament, we read of churches that met in houses. For example, Paul opens his letter to Philemon:

(Phm 1:1-2 NKJV) Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, To Philemon our beloved friend and fellow laborer, to the beloved Apphia, Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church in your house:

No hint there that it wasn't a "real church."

I like the smaller house churches but with children and young adults in the family I found a larger congregation was important for socializing with Christian friends. For a time we had smaller Bible study groups midweek in houses, and services in the church on Sundays ... a good mix of both.

Those people were on-fire for God, probably the strongest Christians I have ever met! There was an amazing presence of God in the house! I am going to try to track them down and go back to another one of their meetings! The house that hosted the church was very nice, a big mansion! I believe they have a worship service in the house and then they share a meal together around the table.
