Jesus wasn’t instantly resurrected. He was dead and in the grave / tomb for three days and three nights.
Right. But it would have felt instant for him if we assume he wasn't aware of anything while he was dead.

Did God ever say that he wanted to die?
If you believe Jesus is God, then yes, he did say that he wanted to die for mankind's sins.

Returning to Jesus, do you think he was ever a human person?
Yes. He had a human body.

Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God.

That’s heresy. Jesus was never a human person in the theology affirmed by the majority of Christians (i.e. trinitarianism). If you had made your comment in the Middle Ages you would have been tortured and, if you refused to recant, burned at the stake. Did you know that?

Do you believe God died?

It's biology. In order for Jesus to die, he had to be, at least in part, human. In order to rise from the dead, one must first be dead.

Yes, I'm sure they would have got me for something or other eventually.

Do you believe God died?
I don't know. Many Christians believe he did. I've always found the idea of the trinity confusing.

But what does that mean?

It means God is his father.

If I recall correctly (and I might not), you attended a Baptist Church when you were younger. An article from a Baptist theologian for your consideration:

Yes, I'm sure they would have got me for something or other eventually.

The bad old days. They won’t do that to you now.

I don't know.

It’s an important thing that we all need to know.

Many Christians believe he did.

R.C. Sproul explains why God did not die on the cross:

I've always found the idea of the trinity confusing.

You should find a good teacher to help you understand the doctrine.
