Once again, I could not call out to anyone as I wanted. I have a hard time trusting Jesus- I will admit that the idea scares me. Couldn't he stop what is happening to me? Dosen't he care? That is why I am having a hard time- maybe he dosen't care.

Actually in Arabic Bibles, Allah is what they use for the God. Anywhere we have GOD, God, Lord, LORD, they use Allah. But you are right that the Muslims see this as their gods name which would seperate him from our God in many ways. As you pointed out, Jesus is God in the flesh in our faith, but just a prophet in Islam. They even consider Muhammad to be a greater porphet than Christ even though Christ was sinless and Muhammad wasnt. Sorry RickyW, this isnt meant as an attack, just pointing out some differances.

Ricky W, The Quran and the Gnostic writings are very similar in their perspectives and writing style. Dont take my word for it, find a gnostic Bible and do a comparative study. Many of the things the Quran claims are in the Gnostic writings. I did a comparative study a few years ago as prompted by a Muslim I was coresponding with in Illinois. He believed that the Gnostic writings were closer to the truth than our current Bible because it agreed with the Quran for the most part. This is why I conclude, as many others do, that the Christians and Jews that were with Muhammad were Gnostics.As I stated before, Allah means "the God" in Arabic just like "God" in the Bible means the same thing. I also stated that the Muslims believe this is the name of God, while the Christians and Jews believe "Yahweh" to be the name of God and that "God" "Lord" "Allah" are all titles not names. Archeology has found evidence that Allah was the moon god of a multi god faith based in Mecca, but that is not the issue we are addressing at this time.I understand that your perspective is an Islamic perspective, and I appreciate your perspective, but I do not agree with all of it. I do not wish to get into a debate about what Islam is and isnt because we are not going to agree. You give an Islamic perspective and I give a Christian perspective. Okay you fellow people,I believe this topic has gone on to long. We have defended the christian side,and others have defended the secular side. Now here is my two cents. I feel like I should not be posting here since I think it has gone far enough but oh well. Listen all,How can we know God exists. It is like asking you "How can we know you EXIST" Well of course you would say because I have pictures,well could it not be a computer program typing this,and could it not give us fake pictures? But you know you exist and others who know you do to right. So I guess for me to say you exist would be to have FAITH. You will never find God until you search with love,and faith. You will never hear him until you listen. I know God real just as you know you are. Look at the world,with all the science and technology around,they can not prove the earth was created by a bing bang,and even funnier they can't prove there is not a God. So what happens,you have to believe in one of the other,one of which has no proof,the other which has the Bible. So to believe in one do you not have FAITH,so why not use that faith to realize God exist? God is as real as you and I,and the rest of the world,many fables are past down from one generation to the next always changed and changed,yet the word of God remains unharmed and is always there to protect. Do you not realize that even if you don't believe there is a God that exists and you don't believe in heaven or hell you will still go to Hell. I would really take a reality check. Until you can prove to me there is no God,then do not comment back. God is real. God exists. He will come back!
