It’s one of the most bizarre rabbit holes I’ve ever fallen in to be told I don’t know Gods will and that I should buy alcohol for men who have problems with alcohol if I want to please God.
Stunned, you are assuming so much that you're not holding a coherent conversation with me. I didn't tell you to buy alcohol for homeless people. I said you're statement wasn't well thought out and wasn't scripturally factual.

Let’s talk about assuming. How do you know the man didn’t sell the beer for a hit of crack? The answer would be, you don’t know.

I haven't had good health myself.

My health has been a challenge since getting Covid pneumonia last December.

It has only been my faith and the word of God that has kept me going, the only things that have sustained me. I have battled depression and anxiety along with lung issues on and off since then. If it weren’t for my faith and a good knowledge of the holy scriptures I would have given up by now. Not to mention the sleepless nights that are recurring (in which I redeem the time by reading my precious King James Bible). I’m like, if Satan is tormenting me, he better lay off! Because it just draws me closer to God in his word with strong supplication to God.

“Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:10)

Isn't that the truth. Satan kept tempting me that I was going to die. I ended up in the ER a few times. Then the Lord intervened and delivered me from him.

It's good to hear that you are making it thru. Long COVID doesn't sound fun. My prayers are with you.

Here’s what I said.

It’s good advice you were given. Ive made some discoveries while trying to help some homeless in an encampment in the woods behind where my shop was until recently. They are there mostly because of a combination of mental and emotional problems, drugs and alcohol. They will absolutely go sell anything you give them that they can to buy drugs and alcohol. Even a $10 gift card to Burger King will be sold for $5 to go buy a mini at the liquor store. You have to put some thought into it before you try to help them. One of them even sold a winter coat I gave him to buy booze and there he was coatless again. They’re a challenge!
I did get him another coat but it had two bleach spots on it and fraying at the cuffs. He couldn’t sell that one so my goal of keeping him warm was achieved.

This was your answer.

Another idea that bears little thought of the Lords will.

So no, you didn’t say my answer was unscriptural and not well thought out. You said my trying to figure out how to keep a coat on a drunk in 20 degree weather so he didn’t freeze to death was an idea that bears little thought of Gods will. I bought him a brand new warm coat. He sold the brand new coat. I then gave him the coat from my own back that had 2 bleach spots and frayed cuffs. But then you said that was forbidding him drink and I should rather have judged him near death anyway and bought him alcohol instead of a coat because it was not right to forbid him alcohol, meaning if I refuse to spend my money in that way to help him but decide to deal instead with the most immediate threat to his life, which is hypothermia, it means I’m forbidding him alcohol and you say by proverbs 31 that God says we should buy alcohol for those who are poor and stumbling around puking so they can be happy. You’re a mess.

Another idea that bears little thought of the Lords will. Should a homeless person be forbidden drink? Some people given the opportunity still won't be able to survive in this world. What does the bible say about that?

Proverbs 31:6-7

6 Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.

7 Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.
No @stunnedbygrace , the above is what I said to you.

I really am not looking to get into an argument as some people enjoy arguing, I don't. But I see a lot of people posting that they won't offer money to the homeless so that they can only give them food or clothes. So they have no money buy things. And you also desire them to not sell what you have given them to make their own decisions. So then they are left to neither buy nor sell.

And that reminds me of the beast and false prophet for real.

See post #70. You're putting a lot of words in my mouth and I don't appreciate it.

Now I remind you of the beast and false prophet because I refuse to give stumbling, puking men money to do whatever they want with, thereby refusing to let them buy or sell. And I’m the one “not holding a coherent conversation”…?

Interesting, as you turned the word "that" into "I". And I noticed also the personal attack in post #73. I think we've had enough "discussion" for the day.

I'm left wondering how people would treat the two witnesses of revelation. Clearly homeless:

Yes, perhaps you could be of more use searching for drunks and buying them beer since they’re as good as dead and beyond all help anyway and it’s Gods will for you to do so. It really is best to try to help them go into liver failure as quickly as you can.

..did you share how things turned around for you..

No I was going to save the whole thrilling saga for another thread..;)
Basically my sister put me up on her couch in Plymouth while I registered with the Jobcentre, and when I'd saved up enough dole for a rental deposit on a flat i went out and waved the cash under a landlord's nose and I was into a nice flat, piece o' cake..:)
