The question is........ "how do you get your prayers anwered".
And the answer is ........" exactly the same way you became a born again Christian".
So why dont you understand that?....and in fact, what does that mean?
Reader, It means that prayers are answered by God, because of God's Grace, and never because you have to earn it or try to be good enough to deserve it.
Reader, Christianity is not Islam, whereby you have all these disciplines you have to perform, everyday.
Christianity is different.........its a place of GRACE........its a REDEEMED Eternal LIFE that includes receiving God's UNMERITED FAVOR, and a Walk of FAITH.
So, the first step toward getting your prayers answered......... is to stop pretending that we are good enough to deserve anything from God.
Reader, Carnal Christians are worried about trying to keep what you can't lose. They are worried about trying to perform, instead of just being Happy In God's Grace all the time.
Carnal Christians are trying to work and perform in front of God, because they believe that they have to earn His Grace.
And you dont., as God's Grace is always FREELY Given at all times......if you will just BELIEVE.

on our best day.........on the day that we are the most sold out, the most fanatical, and the most devoted to God.......= "all our works are as a filthy rag" in God's presence.
See that?
So, if you are trying to gain God's acceptance and get your prayers answered and in your heart of hearts you believe you need to be "good enough" first....then you are never going to get your prayers answered, because you will never be good enough to deserve it.
Reader, Jesus on The Cross proves that your goodness and your good works are unable to acheive for you, anything from God.
Therefore, learn that lesson well, and instead simply BELIEVE that God is going to be good to you, because He loves you.
Try that Real Faith in place of the self righteousness you have, and watch what happens next.
Reader, God is not interested in your works.....>He's interested in your FAITH, as if your faith is right, then the works, the discipleship, becomes automatic, and until your faith is right, your Christianity is going to fail you because its only built on YOU.

Now, i realize that i might be stepping on someone's PRIDE right now, so if that is your case then you need to reevaluate what you are, and who you are, as compared to HOLY GOD.
Trust me when i tell you that its better that a Preacher corrects your Pride, then if God does it for you instead.

So.........Can you compare of yourself to God's Holiness ???? = No you can't !!... and if you think you can then you are Religious but Lost and you need God's = """GIFT OF SALVATION."""

So, we always need to recognize that if God has not made us righteous, then we are not.........and so, what we have to do is recognize that all our righteousness is NOTHING... all our works are nothing.....as we have no righteousness unless God gives us HIS "imputed righteousness"...as a gift...."The Gift of Salvation".
This is how Abraham received it.........by "faith", and its the only way we can have it.
So, now.......now that we are being HONEST with God, about who we are and what we are, then we are now in the kneeling position of understanding how to get our prayers answered.
But what we have to get out of the way first is any religious concept that has wrongly concluded that we DESERVE the goodness of God, as we absolutely do not.
This is why our NT is so careful to teach us that everything comes to us, from God's MERCY and GRACE, and never because of our behavior modifications, or our strving against our sin nature, or anything that is connected to our behavior modifications.
Now,
Here is why God will answer your prayers.
Its because He loves you and wants to do it for you.
Its because God's own will is to BLESS YOU and FAVOR YOU with His Goodness and His Blessings and not just once, but ALL THE TIME.
So, just as we understand that God brings us as a Forgiven SINNER, into His Family...>>"while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us".....then we are to recognize that the reason God is good to us and will answer our prayers, is not because we deserve it, but only because that is What GOD IS LIKE....
See, God wants you happy and blessed and healthy, and financially free, and full of Hope and full of Good Cheer that comes from knowing that we receive all this from Him, only because we are born again into the Place of God's Blessing.....= having become "heirs according to the promise" that God originally made to Abraham.
Listen Saint, .........if you are born again, and not just a water baptized religious do gooder.......then you are forever become a child in God's Family, and that means you always exist where the blessings are found. And that is why you can stop trying to earn an answered prayer and just begin today to believe that God has made you worthy to be blessed, = through the Blood of Jesus..... and blessed forever for the same reason.
So, BE BLESSED, as this is God will for you., and never again doubt it.
