Well, what are the evil angels and unjust being reserved for, as we are way past 'Peter's days' as you say..
Jude 1:6
And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
2 Peter 2:9
The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
The Satanic realm of evil angels aren't in existence anymore. God took out the evil angels back in AD 70, as well as the Devil and every unclean spirit, which all "passed out of the land". Zechariah 13:2 had predicted this would take place along with the siege against Judah and Jerusalem (Zechariah 12:2). God had reserved them for that "great and dreadful day of the Lord" to be judged and destroyed from existence at that time.

God also judged all the wicked dead who had died up to that AD 70 point in time. They also had been reserved for that "great and dreadful day of the Lord", and were destroyed from existence in that judgment. Malachi 4 foretold this event, when the wicked would be burned up like stubble, and would be reduced to ashes underfoot for those who feared the name of the Lord.

The righteous treading the ashes of the wicked underfoot in that day means that history continued on earth after that "great and dreadful day of the Lord", after which the righteous would go forth and grow up like calves of the stall.

Ever since AD 70's judgment, God has continued to reserve the souls of the wicked dead for their later punishment in our future. They also will experience the same fate as the wicked dead in AD 70, being "punished with everlasting destruction from before the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power" (2 Thess. 1:9).

How does everybody look at what the last days will be like.....?
I don't. "Eschatology" is nothing but "rank speculation". There's not much sense in paying much attention to the "End times confusion" as it exists these days among the "end timers.. Personally, I'll "occupy till He comes" as instructed Biblically.

Since God is completely capable of communicating to his people, I expect that there'll be a CRY in the church: "even so COME LORD JESUS" as the time comes nigh.
