If, as many believe, the mark of the beast is something of a physical mark pledging allegiance to the Anti-Christ and it is for a future time of testing, then how is it that all who have passed on before it comes to pass will go through the test?

Are they ALL going to come back from their graves or reincarnation?

Or does it make more sense that the mark of the "Beast" (ungodly nature as Cain had), be one who lives a life of sin and never repents and changes their ways to live for Christ.. not just saying Jesus is Lord, but living as if The Word himself is Lord of their life all to the glory of God?

Because it says that those of the FIRST(meaning there is at least a second) resurrection will be the blameless and the martyr's ONLY who will be kings and priest to rule and reign(man child) with Christ for 1,000 yrs.

Rev 13.16-18 is pretty straight forward on what the mark of the beast is. Furthermore cain had a physical mark, it was not merely his nature, the mark identified him and was set upon him by God[Gen 4.15] as a warning so that no man would kill him.

The answer you seek really is determined by your interpreatation of the end times.

Hi Diana .... are you maybe trying to make two separate things one ?

You are correct ... the tribulation will be a time of testing for mankind ... and part of that testing will likely include whether or not a person takes the mark.

But as far as the people who have passed away years earlier .... I would think the test for them was whether they accepted Christ while they were alive.

It appears the tribulation is unique in many ways .... I think for the non-christian (during the trib) .... it will be a badge of honor for those who take the mark .... they will do so because they really want to.

That is quite a bit different than all the previous years when a non-christian could simply cruise thru life without giving any serious thought to salvation.

The ones who take the mark during the tribulation will likely do so to really show off their anti-Christianity

Those are some of my speculations ... I could be wrong.

The mark of the beast is something that the anti Christ will make people have in order to buy or sell things. No one knows what that is, but rest assured that when the time comes, the prophets will come telling the true believers to abstain from it.
