Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. (Matthew 5:6)
Let me be the first to confess:
I am not doing this to the extent that I believe I should be.
It troubles me greatly. I want Jesus to come back for His church as soon as possible. But I don't think He will until we all hunger and thirst for righteousness so much that the Gospel is preached to the entire world in one generation (Matthew 24:14).
I think He will have to send tribulation in order for us to be compelled to grasp this promise.
This post and hopefully this thread will have nothing to do with national Israel, rapture, or millennial theology.
That's why I posted it in the Christian Spirituality Forum.
Does anyone else think our Lord's return is delayed because of our lack of devotion or consecration? Or disagree?
