I was horrible. I think you don’t really realize what a sinner you are until the Holy Spirit convicts you. My young self was a selfish, rebellious person. I am fully embarrassed how selfish I was.

We do start out selfish. We need to be selfish when we are young because we cannot take care of ourselves. I think he wants us to grow out of selfishness and grow into selflessness.
