Hello All,My name is Karl. I am soo ashamed of myself at the moment. For most of my life I had Masturbated and looked at porn. Last weekend I decided to change my life, so I deleted all my porn and stopped masturbating. I lasted a week until last night I gave in and 'did the dirty' again and I feel so ashamed. Could I possibly get some prayer so I may possibly be able to stop the urges and resist temptation? Also, are there any good bible passages which I may be able to memorie that may help when I get the urges? Thanks Guys.

check out the following link, I hope that's help and may God show you the way out...What Can Be Addictive...a partial listDrugs and Alcohol. Mood-altering chemicals account for the most obvious addictions. They create physical, emotional, and social dependence on artificially induced feelings.Food. The more we eat to feel better, the more our bodies work with our emotions to increase the demand. The cycle is addictive. Attempts to reverse the effects of overeating can also be addictive.Sexual Pleasure. Addiction to sexual pleasure such as pornography.Work.Workaholics are chronically absorbed in a continuous stream of tasks. Our sense of well-being is wrapped up in what we do.Relationships. We can also develop an enslaving dependence on people. A form of idolatry occurs when we view another person as the source of our identity and well-being.Gambling.By playing the lottery, gambling at casinos or racetracks.Overcoming AddictionOvercoming the addictive behavior requires the "will" of man to do so. More precisely it is a synergy between our "will" and the "grace" of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Below is a systematic approach to overcome addictive behavior...http://www.suscopts.org/literature/literat..._from=&ucat=14&

Masturbation in itself is not a sin. What Onan did was to cheat his brother from having children by him.Depriving ones wife/husband sex because of it is sin.Looking at porn is sin in many ways.Imagination is so much better, but it is better to focus on Jesus and love -than the sin.I pray the Holy Spirit will tell you, what is acceptable and will give you peace with it,and that you will renounce that horrible porn,in the name of Jesus, amen!

Why is it that fat Christians don't post mea culpas of shame over their gluttony? Why is it that drug companies don't work on anti-libido drugs? (Maybe they already have them.)Why is it that addicted people obsess over what they're trying to get away from? Why is it that people think Onan masterbated when he didn't?Perverted cults promote marriage between middle-age men and teen girls, but Christians should promote marriage between teen boys and teen girls. This would reduce a lot of the sexual disfunction and divorce that is going on.
