i think most people would follow God but they dont know him

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

And from where do we obtain the "information"?
"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." John 14:26
there has been discussion about if the holy ghost is sent in jeuses time when he was alive . or if he was sent before the world?

I think everyone would follow him if they knew him. The problem is I don’t think most people even think about God. I think God wants you to search for him. He wants people who think about him, not people who just think about themselves.

Addressing the OP,
It's not that the KNOW God, but many haven't even HEARD of him. what do I mean? they heard the name, which many can't even get that right. it's about, well over a 100 names..... personal names for God... made up by men.. just search the internet.
and many cain't agree even on these 100Plus names.
but hearing God is one thing, but understand God is another. reading the bible without understanding is a fool's paradise. Proverbs 4:7 "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding."
many don't understand. this is why the Holy Spirit is so important, as the proverb said, "Get Wisdom". well the Holy Spirit is Wisdom. abd he will teach us and guide us in ....... "ALL TRUTH". BINGO.
so get the Holy Ghost. tell him.... 101G sent you........ (smile). ;) got to have a little fun here.

Always! What is time to God?
"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." Rev 1:8
"And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." Rev 13:8
Consider the words of David, the ancient king of Israel who lived as men reckon time, a thousand years before Jesus was born in Bethlehem:
"Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me." Psalm 51:11
Not every man had that Holy Spirit/Holy Ghost nor does every man have that Holy Spirit, but that is not because God is not offering the same gift and presence to each of us:
"Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." Acts 2:37-39
I might be a little slow, but could you tell us how Acts 2:39 answers what holy999 said in post 6? Thank you.

Was not the Holy Spirit given at the beginning and at even until the End? .... yes.
the Holy Ghost been sent, because he, the Holy Ghost is Jesus... 2 Peter 1:21 "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." and where was he at? 1 Peter 1:10 & 11.
if that didn't answer your question, just put it on the table.

I've never been to it and won't go there now. I went to my Bible and my Lord via the Holy Spirit. That is the proper place to obtain the correct information. They may have good information at that website, but I for one am content with where I am on this.
