Recently I was tempted by Satan to deny God. Looking back 20 years ago when I first turned to Christianity, my life has been a disaster, one after the other. It seemed as if God was either not there or had no power. I have been given messages from the Holy Spirit filling me with intense love and peace that lasted for hours each message. Yet I was still tempted to give in to the doubts about God. Thoughts entered my soul "If he didn't care about me then why should I care about him".

But I hung on to the messages and realized if there were a spirit I wanted to be part of it was that Holy Spirit speaking to me in intense love and peace. I would want nothing more than that in the after life. And one of those messages was that he was heavenly father. Which means I do have a father.

Then the truth started coming back to me and I remembered the great power and authority of God almighty who has created the heavens and the earth. Such massive forces at work there. So God is not weak, he is all powerful.

I have been blessed much in all the troubles I have. I still have a place to live and am alive and healthy. I lost my wife, children, car and jobs, got thrown in jail over and over for a few years while I was homeless and crazy. But now I have a place to rest each day and have medications for my insanity. I also was given a car which helps me to get the things done that I need to do.

God is good and he is merciful. Glory to God in the Highest.

I get attacked with the "IF" questions..
    If there is a God...why,what,when,where,how,who....

The question after the IF doesn't even matter.
    It's the "IF"

And the more I get attacked with IF, the more I dig into the bible,
    and the IF disappears.

I know God. I know His love, his kindness, his goodness.
I have been brought through all kinds of things in my life.
How could there ever be an "IF" ?

And you always get attacked when you least expect it.

    Staying vigilent is very important.

    Thank You for sharing

Hi @Ziggy A good verse is Hebrews 11.6: "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."

Nice testimony and so good to point out. The Lord once spent some time pointing out to me that the first words the snake in the garden said were "Did God really say..." That is still the first way that snake of old tries to get at us today. Satan has to get us to doubt that the Lord is there - or as read in the OP "

That snake wants us to doubt that the above is possible, when that is what's so important to us. So it is that we are saved by faith and not doubt, and that faith comes from hearing the words that our Lord Jesus Christ has to say to us via His Holy Spirit. So the doubt, that 'IF' is always going to be the first line of attack by Satan.
