Monday 4-22-24 2nd. Day Of The Weekly Cycle, Nisan 13 5784 35th. Day of Spring

Psalm 121 is a deeply comforting and encouraging passage known as a "Song of Ascents." It expresses trust in the Lord as the protector and helper, emphasizing that the Lord is always vigilant and will not allow any harm to come to those who trust in Him.

The psalmist looks to the mountains and reflects on the source of help, affirming that it comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

God Is Our Keeper

1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.

6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Love, Walter And Debbie

I lift up my eyes to the mountains –
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth. NIV

I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth. NKJV

In both these versions and others the psalmist is meditating by looking to the hills seeking an answer to his question and the answer comes that it come from the Lord - not the hills which is a mistake people often make about this passage.
