Do you believe this is true?

This seems such a simple, clear passage to me.

Colossians 3:1-4 KJV
1) If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2) Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
3) For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
4) When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

We are to seek those things which are above, where Christ is. We're to set our affections on this above, not things here, because in reality we are alive there.

Our walk is by faith, not by sight. We look not on things that are seen, but things that are unseen.

The thing is, we've died, and been raised with Him, and we are hid with Him. You see, you've already died and gone to heaven.

And when Jesus appears, then shall ye also appear with him in glory!

Some don't seem to believe this part of the Bible! But I do!

Much love!

Hello Marks,

Yes this would confirm what is spoken about in Romans 6.

6 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? 3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
How shall those who are believers, say; then.
Shall we go on sinning that Grace may increase?

No. Believers live towards Loving God, and Loving others by faith and trusting in the Son of God.

By no means! We are the who have died to sin

By no means! Shall we go on to continue to sin any longer. (Sin willfully in unbelief to the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and God) ~ We shall not continue to live in unbelief instead a believer comes to start to live towards God, and towards the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God whom ever so shall believe in Him that He might have life through his name.

Because of Christ we have died to sin. Because Christ has paid the price of sin.

how can you live with it any longer?

How can you live any longer in your old lifestyle of unbelief have no faith, and willfully sinning any longer? You have turned from the darkness, and have entered the light, and now things will start to change because of the spirit that is given by God by and through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus - were baptized into

Question by Paul: Do you not know that all of us who are baptized in Christ Jesus

Submerged in Christ. - Who baptizes us by the holy spirit and fire.

His Death ~ in order that

Baptized in Christ Jesus death - Dying to the flesh and living to the spirit of Christ/Holy spirit which are living with-in you by and through your faith on the Lord Jesus Christ ~ Who loves all people, and died for all people, and was raised for all people.

People who are baptized with Christ live by the spirit, though they live in their flesh / die to their flesh ~ They allow their mind to be renewed and the heart to be renewed by the Father and the Son by having fellowship with each other.

just as Christ was raised from the dead ~ Through the glory of the Father ~ we too may live a new life.

Just as Christ was raised from the dead ~ As Christ Jesus was resurrected from the dead ~ Which was through the glory of the Father.

We to believers shall walk and live in a new life with God and Christ Jesus with-in us, who love us care for us, desire for us comfort, to be loved, and to always be there for us, and they always hear our prays, they also speak to us through the word of God - The bible if we put a little time in to doing it especially the new testament.

May God give the increase!

You are right @Waiting on him : What are your thoughts about God and the Lord Jesus Christ and what happens to a believer when they start to become a new creation in Christ?

We are the temple of God that carries him, holy spirit, within us.
Revelation 21:3-5 KJV
[3] And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. [4] And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. [5] And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
