[Matthew 16:18 KJV] "And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."....... Jesus started to build his church while on earth. All who simply believed in his name, who believed he was Christ, the Son of God, would be in his church and in Him.

[Luke 6:12 KJV] "And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God."
[Luke 6:13 KJV] "And when it was day, he called [unto him] his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles;"........Jesus chose twelve disciples to be his apostles.

[Acts 1:21 KJV] "Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,"
[Acts 1:22 KJV] "Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection."...........To be an apostle in the church Christ was building and to qualify as being numbered among the apostles, they had to be with Christ from the beginning of John's baptism.

If one says there is only one church then that church is the church Christ was building. If you say this is the only church then to be an apostle in it you had to be a witness beginning at John's baptism.

Paul is said to be an apostle. How could Paul be qualified to be an apostle along with the twelve in the one and only church if he wasn't with Christ from the beginning of John's baptism? The answer is that Paul was an apostle chosen by Christ to another church.

Paul is not an apostle Christ chose to a special ministry and be numbered with the twelve in the one church as that would violate scripture saying he had to be with Christ from John's baptism. Paul was not just an apostle to the nations as some say, he was an apostle to the church............[1 Corinthians 12:28 KJV] "And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues."...........Paul was an apostle and set in the church.

The only church Paul could be an apostle to was the body of Christ.
