When God brings and presents his Son to you at the right moment in time, it takes minutes to be sealed with God's presence with his Son; not in days, months or years. The latter would indicate human manipulation of the heart and not of God.

Can you share your testimony with us, please?

I was on a dead point in my young life when on a certain moment I also realized that nobody could help me. And I cried out to God to help me. And He answered me instantly pouring His love on me, words fail to describe the experience. And I knew then that God was real, He existed and I never doubted that afterwards. And He is love. And when I was walking home that evening I realized He is also holy, all in about 5-6 hours.

And it changed my life instantly, I came in contact with Christians, took a Bible course and learned about Jesus, started to read the Bible.

I would say;
* the LEARNING “Is gradual”
* the Heartful Belief “Is gradual”
* the Heartful “diligent and serious examination of one’s own Heart” is a short time.
* the decision to Call on the Lord, Confess Heartful Belief, is an instant.
* God verifying your Heartful Confession is True, is instant.
* the Receipt of Gods SEED ( quickened / born Again) is immediate…
***After, confession, verifying, heart circumcised, forgiveness, Receipt of:
Gods Truth, Spirit.

And thereafter….
* Saved, Quickened, Sanctified, Justified, washed, cleansed…
And
*Understanding of Gods Word according to God, offered for those who ask….on-going.

Glory to God,
Taken

I do believe that I have been born again and I would say it's been a gradual process over 2.5 years. How about you?
To be truthfully honest? I'd watch those with my good eye those who say it's instant!
Having that that however? There is a difference between being born from above and maturing in the Spirit!
And? Having said that? (:tonguewink:) There's also this not so little matter of God's doling out "Measures of Faith!"
Because not everyone of us gets the same measure!

Some receive more? Some receive less!
And? Having said all this? Can one increase one's faith regardless of the amount? YES!! TO a point!
This would be best explained when Paul asked "Yah'-uh-'Vay" to get rid of that thorn in his side, so to speak.
Where "Yah'-uh-'Vay" answered Paul in short reply: "My GRACE is sufficient enough for thee!"
I liken this to Jesus of Nazareth's Parable of the Talents analogy.

Experienced minister here. You have the Faith of a mustard seed. It starts small and grows. Even Jesus made reference to it. Everyone's salvation is as different as fingerprints. All born again from above believers have a different testimony. But I've found many believe everyone gets saved the same way. That is not so.

it takes minutes to be sealed with God's presence with his Son

And let's not forget that this seal is the Lord putting His mark, His claim upon a person.

It is not a seal that means one is always saved even if they turn from the Lord and go back to living after the flesh (sin)

Yes Jesus said He would never leave us or forsake us, but Jesus also said "If we deny Him, He also will deny us" thru the Apostle Paul Who led Paul by the Holy Spirit to make this true and correct statement.

2 Timothy 2:12
If we deny Him, He also will deny us

When God told Abraham "As for me, this is my covenant with you" (Genesis 17:4) that did not mean Abraham and his descendants could not turn away from the Covenant as we see in scripture where God divorced Israel (Jeremiah 3:8-11, Ezekiel 16:51) because they became faithless and quite walking in agreement with Him having turned away from the Lord living in opposition to Him.

This is directly related to seedtime and harvest, aka sowing and reaping - if we sow to the flesh we shall of the flesh reap corruption (Gal 6:7,8) which is what happens when Christians turn away from the Lord to involve themselves in sinful behavior

The same is true in the New Covenant Christians are under as what Jesus did on the Cross does not take away seedtime and harvest. This is why if we reject Him then He will reject us shown in 2 Timothy 2:12. It is in fact God's will not not forsake us, but if we forsake Him and turn away from Him He is not going to accept us in to His Kingdom since sinners are not allowed to enter in to His Kingdom.

We must abide IN Him enduring until the end of our lives in order to be saved (Matthew 24:13) which of course is something that can only be done thru submitting to the leading of the Holy Spirit which is where the power comes from that enables us to abide IN Him.

Of course the OSAS people will claim people still go to Heaven even if they turned away from the Lord and lives in sin but there's no need to listen to people that pervert God's Word like this. These folks don't accept the whole counsel of God.

I'm continually amazed at the arrogant, all-knowing, Christians, who spew their theological diarrhea all over a good thread.

BB: there are several ill-formed or misused arguments from scripture set against true salvation here.

Is true salvation possible in your world I wonder?
