It has nothing more to give me. I won't be truly happy until God brings me home. For me life is about trying to find meaning and purpose but results are discouraging in this lost world. Is it ok to wish to be taken now to Heaven?

I was thinking this morning about how grateful I am for my life. Even though I'm almost 84 and my husband died last year and I live alone now and don't go out or see anybody I feel so blessed to have Jesus in my life. I believe that a thankful heart will always lift our spirits. Counting our blessings and looking for the good and beautiful is a way to lift us up. The psalmists seemed to often feel God was far away but they praised and thanked and God turned things round for them.
@NotTheRock I fee so sad for you. My husband got like you in the last year or so. He just couldn't be cheered up. but I praise God for the life I have, even though it is This passage comes to mind:
Habakkuk 3:17
Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Saviour.

Whats being offered to this world is power wealth and security the same 3 temptations of Christ these are truly evil times.The war against the poor is just starting wait and see.
Maybe that is true....does your country have it easy for Christians? Are you safe living there?

But if I didn't follow the word of God that trouble may with me.
Not every persecution stems from faith, but from politics between USA and China.
We should belong to the kingdom of God, not USA or China, even we love our country,but we should love kingdom of God first above all.

It surely aint a walk in the park but from what I understand, the Kingdom of God is about giving, not getting or taking.
You can give of yourself. Your time, your energy, your patience, your forgiveness, your peace if you have it....and joy will bust from that wilting flower like a sunrise.
