Why does it say child?

why does scripture refer to Jews?
Judah was only one tribe, were there not twelve tribes

why do the twelve tribes or sons of Jacob have four different mothers?

So acts 4:27 is just a verse out of the Prayer Peter was lashing out at them.

child is one definition of the word "pais" but the more common translation is son. Why the KJV and other translators used child insdtead of son is unknown to me.

Jews refer to either Judeans as a tribe or all 12 tribes in the spiritual sense and often by Paul in the ethnic sense

Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:

Just an easier and more colloquial way of saying "Israeli". Just like they do today.

Their proffesion was Evangelism.. to go out and make more disciples?

Jesus did spend most of his life in Nazareth, as you correctly stated.

Child was a poor choice by a translator of the Bible version you are using. Servant would have been the better choice in this instance. The original word and definition:
pai'ß Pais (paheece);
Word Origin: Greek, Noun, Strong #: 3816

2. servant, slave
   1. an attendant, servant, spec. a king's attendant, minister

Peter is praying to God concerning His son.
I think child was appropriate.
Herod issued an order to kill all CHILDREN up to the age of 2?
Notice Peter didn't leave out the time line.
They were against the CHILD from the time he was born.

As is still the case today.
