I'm a journaling and writing type person. I wonder if I'd pray even more if there were a calendar or journal with prompts on what to pray for.

If not, I will make a personal prayer schedule. I was just wondering if this exists and if I could post items like this on this thread in case anyone else is interested.

Was just looking this up on Amazon. Plenty of very flowery prayer journals for women on personal topics but I'd like one for more global and national topics.

Like maybe one day/week could be praying for persecuted Christians in different countries. Or another for praying for your home country's government. Another for reaching unreached people groups, revival, victims of natural disasters, unborn children in danger of being aborted.

I guess I wanted something geared towards affecting change in the world and not just my own life.

When we pray we need to pray what the Holy Spirits leads us to. If we sit quietly before praying and ask the Holy Spirit to show us what to pray for it is much mor personal than following another persons prayer list.

I used to journal, but mine were all driven by my insanity so it really didn't work out. I can't journal and it just gave the enemy (Satan) fuel as he read my problems and used them to harass me.

That said, I think journalling can be a problem. While prayer may not be heard or read by the enemy. Satan seeks to destroy us. So prayer is good for me but journalling not good.

But I found journalling my weaknesses and strengths to be like telling them to a sadistic person. They just use them against you.

And that's been my personal experience :My2c:

Paul taught us to pray constantly (1 Thessalonians 5:17). It's like having a friend with you all the time, isn't it?
