Shalom, Davy.

This may be difficult for you to understand or accept, but that 1,000 years ARE the Day of the Lord! Yeeshuwa` the Messiah is called "the Sun of righteousness."

Malachi 4:1-6 (KJV)

1 "For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up," saith the LORD of hosts, "that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. 2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. 3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do [this]," saith the LORD of hosts.
4 "Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, [with] the statutes and judgments. 5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: 6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse."

When the Sun of righteousness shall arise, there shall be no night in His presence! For a THOUSAND YEARS, there will be no night! He will reign in God's GLORY upon the Throne of His GLORY! He will not need to sleep, and He will be judging the earth for that thousand years. He gives them EVERY CHANCE imaginable to change their attitudes and come humbly to Him.

2 Peter 3:3-10 (KJV)

3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying,

"Where is the promise of his coming (in wrath)? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as [they were] from the beginning of the creation!"

5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens (1st heavens) were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water (the Flood), perished:

7 But the heavens (2nd heavens) and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire (of Revelation 20:7-9) against (just prior to) the day of judgment and perdition (sentencing) of ungodly men. 8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that ONE DAY [IS] WITH THE LORD AS A THOUSAND YEARS, AND A THOUSAND YEARS AS ONE DAY. 9 The Lord is not slack (lazy) concerning his promise (of His coming in wrath), as some men count slackness (laziness); but is LONGSUFFERING (PATIENT) to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord WILL COME as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

This is still the SAME "DAY OF THE LORD!" However, if they continue to refuse, the wrath of that Day (at the end of the Day) will overtake them! This is because when the last person who will change has come to Him for that change, He will have no other choice but to lower the boom on all the rest.

Oh, I've heard some apply that "day of the Lord" term to the whole 1,000 years period. That usually comes from how some try to divide this present world time from creation to the future new heavens and new earth time by 7 days with each day representing a 1,000 years. Thus the 7th day represents Christ's future 1,000 years reign, they say.

But you are not correct with applying the "day of the Lord" term how Lord Jesus and His Apostles applied it.

In Rev.16:15, Lord Jesus warned the Church that He comes "as a thief". That "as a thief" metaphor is what Jesus used for the day of His future coming when He gave the signs of the end in His Olivet discourse of Matt.24 and Mark 13. Thus you are not applying that according to the written Scripture meaning.

In 1 Thess.5, Apostle Paul warns about the "sudden destruction" on that "day of the Lord" upon the deceived when they begin to say, "Peace and safety', which is a marker for the very end of this world when the coming Antichrist will end all wars and deceive the world by offering peace and safety. That happens before... Christ's future return, not after.

That idea also is just supposition by men's traditions.

The "third heaven" idea per Apostle Paul in 2 Cor.12 is not about a literal division of 3 heavens. It is about 3 divisions of TIME:

Shalom, Davy.

I'm okay with what you say here (except the "men's traditions" nonsense), but I fear that you have another view of those "3 divisions of time."

1. 2 Pet.3:6 = "the world that then was" = the 1st heaven and earth age.
2. 2 Pet.3:7 = "the heavens and the earth, which are now" = 2nd heaven and earth age.
3. 2 Pet.3:13 = "new heavens and a new earth" = 3rd heaven and earth age.

1. The 1st heaven and earth age was when Satan originally followed God, was the anointed cherub that covereth, meaning Satan's original job was to guard The Mercy Seat. Then Satan rebelled in coveting God's throne and thus fell.

Yep. This is definitely a different view than what Peter was saying. That earth "standing out of the water and in the water" was the world before the Flood in Noach's 600th year. Here's the creation of the firmament, called "hashaamayim" (the 2 skies), and of that dry land, called "ha'aarets" (the earth):

Genesis 1:6-13 (KJV)

6 And God said,

"Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters."

7 And God made the firmament and divided the waters which [were] under the firmament from the waters which [were] above the firmament: and it was so. 8 And God called the firmament "Heaven" (shaamaayim, the same word as in Genesis 1:1 without the definite article prefix). And the evening and the morning were the second day.

9 And God said,

"Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry [land] appear":

and it was so. 10 And God called the dry [land] "Earth" (erets, the same word as in Genesis 1:1 without the definite article prefix); and the gathering together of the waters called he "Seas": and God saw that [it was] good. 11 And God said,

"Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, [and] the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed [is] in itself, upon the earth":

and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, [and] herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed [was] in itself, after his kind: and God saw that [it was] good. 13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.

So, the earth "stood out of the water" below the firmament called "seas," and it also "stood ... in the water"; that is, it stood within the sphere of water above the firmament, the firmament being called "shaamayim" or "skies" (a dual word).
2. The 2nd heaven and earth age God started after He ended that 1st world age when Satan rebelled.

No. See, here's what I was talking about. The 2nd heaven and earth age began AFTER THE FLOOD of Noach's 600th year in his 601st year! You've added stuff that the Scriptures do NOT talk about, namely the supposed "gap" between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2. That's a fallacy and a fiction! Genesis 1:1 is a SUMMARY verse of what is to follow. Hebrew literature is replete with this literary technique. Hebrew literature will frequently begin with a summary of what is to follow and then go into the details of that summary. It's like the points of an outline: First, we are given the main point in the outline, and then the details in subpoints are listed below the main point. It's the same concept here.

The proof has just been listed: The words for "heaven" and "earth" used in 1:1 are first named in verses 1:8 and 1:10!

This 2nd one began starting at Genesis 1:2, which is why the earth is shown laid waste with flood waters over all of it at that point. We are still in this 2nd one today.

Yes, we are still in this 2nd one today, but it began in Genesis 8:1!

3. The 3rd heaven, and earth age, will be God's future Eternity after death, hell, Satan, and the wicked are destroyed in the "lake of fire" at the end of Christ's future 1,000 years reign with His elect. THIS... is the "third heaven" that Apostle Paul was caught up to in The Spirit, much like how Ezekiel and Apostle John were caught up in The Spirit and shown future prophetic events.

You're mostly correct in this, except you make a mistake that is common among premillennials: The "lake of fire is NOT at the end of Christ's future 1,000 years reign with His elect." One must also remember what GaVriy'Eel ("Gabriel") told Miryam ("Mary"):

Luke 1:30-33 (KJV)

30 And the angel said unto her,

"Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end."

He doesn't just reign for a thousand years upon this earth, but that reign continues FOREVER upon the New Earth, as well! Furthermore, we know that Yeeshuwa` ("Jesus") will be the Judge of the Great White Throne Judgment because ....

John 5:19-23 (KJV)

19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them,

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. 20 For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel. 21 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth [them]; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. 22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: 23 That all [men] should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him."

That usually comes from how some try to divide this present world time from creation to the future new heavens and new earth time by 7 days with each day representing a 1,000 years. Thus the 7th day represents Christ's future 1,000 years reign, they say.

Shalom, Davy.

I'm not big on the 7 days representing 7,000 years, although it could be correct (despite evolutionary rhetoric). Nevertheless, that 1,000-year period to which many refer when saying "the Millennium" is not about the reign of Christ so much as it's about the incarceration of haSatan (Hebrew for "the Enemy"). THAT'S to what the Greek words "chilia etee" refer, which was translated as "annos mille" in the Latin Vulgate from which we get the word "Millennium."

However, by that time, the Lord has returned and has begun His reign since Revelation 11! He is resurrecting those who belong to Him to help Him reign over the whole earth in Revelation 20:4-6, prior to the Judgment. And, there will be NO NIGHT for those who belong to Him. First, they won't need to sleep, being raised as immortal, incorruptible, glorified bodies. And, through the glory of God, we (for I include us in that number) will provide His light wherever we go - LITERALLY! It IS our Lord Yeeshuwa`s first Day! For there will be no night wherever the Sun of Righteousness reigns!

Those who believe that all this happens - wham bam! - are not contemplating what Paul said to those in Korinth, which is also about the Millennium:

1 Corinthians 15:20-28 (KJV)

20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, [and] become the firstfruits (singular) of them that slept. 21 For since by man [came] death, by man [came] also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 BUT every man in his own order:

(0) Christ the firstfruits (again, singular);
(1) afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. 24
(2) Then [cometh] the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule, authority, and power.

25 For HE MUST REIGN, TILL HE HATH PUT ALL ENEMIES UNDER HIS FEET. 26 The last enemy [that] shall be destroyed [is] death
(which happens at the Great White Throne Judgment; Rev. 20:14). 27 For "he hath put all things under his feet." (But when he saith "all things are put under [him {the Christ}," it is] manifest (obvious) that "he" {God the Father} is excepted, which did put all things under him {the Christ}.) 28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him (the Christ, the Son of God), then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God (the Father) may be all in all.

Many well-intentioned Christians think we're already in His Kingdom and that He is already reigning, but in truth, He has not yet BEGUN to reign! While we may consider ourselves to be His subjects now, He is not yet LITERALLY the King, as He shall be! The Millennium is not about "peace and safety" or "lovey-dovey" for a thousand years. He will be using that time to "subdue all of His enemies," and gain control over every kingdom and nation in the world for His Father! Some will be acquired peacefully through His wisdom, but others will have to be subdued by force with His sword!

One must remember the other things our Lord has said:

Matthew 25:31 (KJV)

31 "When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, THEN shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:"

He also said,

Luke 19:11-15, 27 (KJV)

11 And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear. 12 He said therefore,

"A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. 13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them,

"'Occupy (Trade [with this]) till I come.'

14 "But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying,

"
'We will NOT have THIS [man] to reign over us!'

15 "And it came to pass, that WHEN HE WAS RETURNED, HAVING RECEIVED THE KINGDOM, THEN HE COMMANDED these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.
...

27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and
SLAY THEM BEFORE ME!"

I'll bet you don't hear THAT preached from the pulpits much! Which begs the question: Do Christians really know this Person whom we call "our Lord"?

But you are not correct with applying the "day of the Lord" term how Lord Jesus and His Apostles applied it.

In Rev.16:15, Lord Jesus warned the Church that He comes "as a thief". That "as a thief" metaphor is what Jesus used for the day of His future coming when He gave the signs of the end in His Olivet discourse of Matt.24 and Mark 13. That happens before... Christ's future return, not after.
Actually, it fits right in, when one is not blinded by the modern interpretations of what they said.

Firstly, Genesis 1:1 with God's original creation has "Heaven" plural in the Hebrew, which one heaven is simply the sky around the earth, while the other Heaven is God's Abode of Spirit.

And secondly, with Peter's first destruction of the earth example, that was the time of Genesis 1:2 with the state of the earth in a ruin and waste, covered with waters of an early flood, long before Noah's day. That's what is meant with what Peter said below that I marked in 'red':

2 Peter 3:5-6
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that
by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
KJV

"by the word of God the heavens were of old" = God's original creation of the Heavens and the earth at Genesis 1:1. That was when God spoke and His creation came into existence at the very first, in Gen.1:1 in the beginning.

"the earth standing out of the water and in the water" = the condition of the earth covered with waters of a flood at Genesis 1:2, which is what Hebrew tohu va bohu is in reality pointing to. That is specifically Gen.1:9 that Peter is describing, with God separating the waters left upon the earth, and the dry land appearing. That is why Gen.1:2 is describing the earth as already existing but with the ideas of "the face of the deep" and "face of the waters", which are also expressions used for the time of the flood of Noah. Thing is though, that is written at Genesis 1:2, and not at the time of Noah. There have been TWO world-wide floods upon this ancient earth. The first flood destroyed the time of Satan's rebellion against God.

And that... is what Peter was talking about that many "willingly are ignorant of."

(Also see Jeremiah 4:23-28 which is God revealing details about the destruction of that 1st world earth age, and Romans 8:18-25 where Paul is pointing to that destruction of the 1st earth age too, when God placed His creation in "bondage of corruption" because of Satan's rebellion in that old world. This present creation past Genesis 1:2 is not God's original perfect creation. Instead this 2nd world earth age is in "bondage of corruption", which is why it is reserved unto destruction like Peter said in 2 Peter 3:7.)

"Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry [land] appear":
....
There is no need to try and use word fallacy to explain the Genesis 1:6-10 verses. It is easily understood as written even in the KJV Bible:

Gen 1:6-10
6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

And just where... were those "waters" being divided? They are upon an already existing earth that is covered with waters back at Genesis 1:2!

7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

God creates the sky atmosphere ("firmament") around today's earth above, by moving a portion of those flood waters already overspread upon the existing earth. In Jer.4:28 He even showed for this reason the earth shall mourn, and the heavens above would be black, pointing to the storms and violent weather of this present 2nd world earth age caused by holes in today's atmosphere around today's earth, i.e., God having placed today's earth in "bondage of corruption", which Apostle Paul was talking about in Romans 8.

8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

Not the Heaven of Spirit which is God's Abode for this 2nd world earth age. But the heaven sky atmosphere around today's earth formed by the previous verse.

9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

At the above point, God moves the waters left that are upon the already existing earth, and the 'dry land' re-appears. He did not create earth again here, because He already created the earth in the beginning back at Genesis 1:1.

10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
KJV

Some call this the Gap theory, but no matter what some call it, is it God's Word or not? Each believer must study and decide about it for theirself, in prayer. I can say this in truth about it, one will not really understand the future world to come without understanding this matter which is linked with the time of Satan sinning in the beginning, and then God ending that time of old to bring this present 2nd world earth age, which is one of imperfection, and destined to be destroyed by fire.

The Bible scholars Bishop Ussher (17th century), and E.W. Bullinger (1880s), both marked the time of Christ's birth, and using the begats in The Bible went back to the man Adam when God formed Adam in His Garden. They both arrived at the date of 4004 B.C. (see Ussher's Annals Of The World; and Bullinger's Companion Bible).

That is where some begin the 6,000 year old "new earth creationist" (NEC) theory. That also is where those have figured the symbolic 7 days = 7,000 years theory. Ussher and Bullinger could not go any further back in history than Adam, simply because that's as far as written history in The Bible goes, those men figured. Others took that to mean the history of the earth too, which isn't true, and they ran with that idea.

Thing is, God's Word and the fossil record reveals this earth is very ancient. So I'm what some call an "old earth creationist". I still believe in God's creation in His Word, and I definitely do not believe in man's theory of evolution. But I see an indeterminable gap of time between Gen.1:1 and Gen.1:2. Some time in between those two verses is when Satan coveted God's throne and wanted to be The GOD, and thus Satan was first to sin and God ended that old world because of it. But I think I mentioned this to you already.

However, by that time, the Lord has returned and has begun His reign since Revelation 11! He is resurrecting those who belong to Him to help Him reign over the whole earth in Revelation 20:4-6, prior to the Judgment. And, there will be NO NIGHT for those who belong to Him. Yeah, I believe that.

(0) Christ the firstfruits (again, singular);

Yes, I agree. The 'kingdom now' folks are being misled, and show they don't understand what God's Word teaches about this present world time. Jesus was very plain in John 18:36 when He said His kingdom is not of this world, meaning not of this present world time. His Kingdom is manifested through His Church on earth today only via The Spirit, and that does not mean a physical kingdom, not yet. So I'm well aware of their false hope in this present world. But ya know, does their deception on that point not reveal how they are setup to be deceived by the coming false-Messiah's future mimic of Christ's Kingdom here on earth? They will believe it has come, when it will be the pseudo-Christ establishing that first, prior to Lord Jesus' coming afterwards.

Actually, it fits right in, when one is not blinded by the modern interpretations of what they said.

It's obvious that not only the majority of the Jews have been spiritually blinded by God away from understanding The Gospel, but many Christian brethren have also been spiritually blinded about the events to occur in these last days just prior to Lord Jesus' future return after Antichrist's deception upon the whole world.
