You bible thumpers are stuck in the fairy land of oz or is it oooooze?
Please, your humour is lost on someone like me. What I do know is that the USA is living in the "ooooose" of the quagmire that it is slowly sinking into, but the Christians in your land still have their rose-coloured glasses on.
I took your advice, and this is what I found-
Well, it seems that you were not that successful in your searching of the scriptures to find the Biblical references that tell us when the first recorded scripture passage tells us that the people from Gaza went to war against Israel. Mention of Gaza is first found in Genesis 10:19 and the people there were the sons of Canaan.
I did a search of the Scriptures looking of the place of Gaza mentioned in the scriptures: -
Gen 10:19, Jos 10:41, 11:22,15:47, Judges 1:19, 6:4, 16:1. 1 Sam 6:17, 1 Kings 4:24, 2 Kings 18:7, Jer 25:20, 47:1, 47:5,, Amos 1:6, 1:7, Zephaniah 2:4 and Zechariah 9:5.
But the study of the place known as Gaza becomes immaterial if we do not consider who was and still is living in and around Gaza.
The scriptural verse that you quoted had nothing in common with my post.
God's promise is that after the completion of the 4th age of their existence, that He will begin gathering Israel back to himself and that he will plant them in their own fertile soil/field, where they are living throughout all of the earth, but this understanding goes very much against the traditional understanding that has been forced upon us by the translators.
Oh well, each to his own
Goodbye
