It was about a hundred and fifty mile trip (one-way) from Northern Galilee to Jerusalem. And those God-fearing Jews made that hot, dusty, dangerous trip (about 10 days of steady walking) for one purpose, only. Because they loved God and were doing as they understood Him to have commanded. I don't think you can call that "crucifying Him."
