James 1:11 James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings. NKJVThe above was inspired by the Holy Spirit.James 1:11 James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad and to the Gentiles: Greetings. TBM (Taught By Man, [but not in any Bible])The above is the same verse re-written, by man, to make it written to the grace church as well.Which way is correct, the Holy Spirit’s way or man’s way?Richard

James and Paul are both correct. James meaning of works is completely different than what Paul said of works.

I prefer the KJV version. The second version shows that the writer does not understand the migration of the Tribes.

Tom, I think the point, if I am reading him correctly, is that he is saying that James (and Peter and the Gospels) were all written to the Jews only, and that only Paul's writings are directed to the Gentiles.... per a scriptural comparison done at http://scripturetext.com/james/1-1.htm none of which had the reading given by Richard above....if you did not know.... this is known as hyper Dispensationalism or Ultra dispensationalism.... a negative critique by a Dispensationalist is here: http://mb-soft.com/believe/text/ultradis.htmor herehttp://www.gotothebible.com/HTML/wronglytoc.htmlIf I misread you Richard, I apologize...blessings,ken

I said; "1 James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad ""and to the Gentiles:"" Greetings. TBM (Taught By Man, [but not in any Bible])The intent was that the above is not in any Bible. However the book of James is taught as if it were. Did you notice the TBM reference?Richard
