Job Question :)

I started working part time (very part time, enough for gas and some spending money) online doing a search questions. Basically you have people that text in any question and I get to look up the answer and send it back. It's actually interesting and kind of fun.

The part that has me worrying though is that some of the questions deal with sex and horoscopes? These questions are not in line with Gods thinking at all and they make me uncomfortable. I do not want to enable someone to sin.

Let me be frank since I am assuming we are all adults. Questions about "how to get a girl into bed" are the sort that get me upset. A young man asking what is typical/average physically does not. All the stuff with horoscopes does bother me!

If you are required to give the correct answers, then questions about getting girls in bed, and Horror scopes should not be a challenge for you.

Just give them the correct answers.

I worked in a bar, and every answer I gave was based on scripture. I did not put any one down for drinking, but was there if someone admitted to a drinking problem.

Give correct bible based answers, without condemning anyone.

Example:

Question: What is the best way to get a girl to sleep with me on the first date.

Answer: Sir, remember that girl is also a person, and has feelings. It sounds to me like your just thinking of yourself, and I'll tell you, that is not a happy life. It is not healthy to sleep with someone you just met. You don't know what they may have in the disease department, and sex creates emotional attachment that may not be healthy for you or her afterward.

Notice I did not have to mention scripture, and this is just an example. I am sure you can get more creative that this.

Well, I think like Mike illustrated here, there are creative things you can do to get around many topics. I don't know how seriously people take these things, but I'd imagine most of these are pranks or just silly questions anyway. I think you could have some fun there.

When addressing horoscopes, I'm not as sure. I'm not sure what your employer expects you to do or if you should be sharing everything about this process in public (just be careful and aware of any agreements). I'd probably just say simple things like "You need to smile at someone to have a good day." or things along those lines.

Oh, we don't actually make up a horoscope, we just punch in the date and hit send and somehow the system sends it?

String, the one I am doing is called ChaCha. Google it and sign up, I don't know if they are hiring still but why not try it. It isn't going to make me a million bucks but when I have free time during the week I can always make gas and spending money I'm what they call an "expediter" so I can either answer a quick question or I can send it on to Specialist who does actual research on the question.

And yes, a lot of the questions do seem like silly/prank types
