And he bearing his cross went forth unto
Yes, Jesus carried his cross out of Pilate's palace. It was a Roman cross kept in the courtroom for the condemned. This was what John wrote. Not what 'Servant89' says here.
The cross was not fetched from anywhere unintentionally by nobody knows who, and
Servant89's statement is in accord with the Roman Catholic teaching, which although it is universally the only accepted teaching, is the wholly false and totally faked version of the truth.
John says nothing the Synoptists do not say and he says everything the Synoptists say only not in so many or identical terms.
Now when I first put 'The Heart of the Gospel' before some scholars, the above was what I wrote at first. One objective with 'the Heart' was to show the perfect agreement between the Gospels, especially between John and the other three Gospels because the grossest of heresies come from the alleged irreconcilabilities between John and Mark, Matthew and Luke.
The supposed difference between John and the other Gospels specifically as concerns the recording of the events of Jesus' Last Passover, has become virtually revered to the point that if you don't admit it, the acclaimed learned will accuse you of denying the 'Inspiration of John'-- like they accused me of with having dared to write 'The Heart of the Gospel'. (While they were fast asleep on their job!).
And so you can above see me BANNED from Bible Forums[*] on the grounds that I "do not show the fruits of the Holy Spirit in my behaviour". [* "Banned by amazzin" whatever 'amazzin' may be.]
