I say that we do this to adults too then.

Every single punishment heaped on children we do to adults.

You cut someone off on the road, spanking.
You act out of line you get shaved bald, men and women.
You tell a lie you have write it out a hundred times I will not lie.

And if anyone on here says that's not right and not fair; you've just proven why it's not right for children.

Also it breaks the second great command to humiliate or harm another if you don't wish it done to you.
